Hello, I am fortuitous, I also go by pen. A bit about myself: i am a minor a (15-17) year old male. I am very new to the craft and frankly I do not know where to start. I made an account hoping I could potentially discover some more on this interesting subject that can be so hectic to traverse. I would appreciate any tips or advice.
Honestly I am quite nervous, I’ve been fine tuning this introduction for 30 minutes, considering everyone on this forum seems to be so adult-ty I’m not sure if I’m even allowed to write here considering my age, but now I’m rambling. I don’t know how to finish this off so I’ll just cut my own sentence of-
I believe the minimum age here is 13, so you’re good! No worries, don’t feel like you need to rush in! We have people of all ages here. You’re right, there’s a huge variety of subjects. I don’t think it’s possible to know them all, so just pick whatever calls to you most!
I suggest reading some introductory articles on the main site, and taking a quiz like in this topic - to get some ideas on what to start on:

Here is a list of my “go-to” books for beginners. I will list them in an order of sorts.
1–Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner, by Scott Cunningham–a very easy read to understand basics and get you started.
2–Buckland’s Complete Book of Witchcraft (Affectionately referred to as “Buckland’s Big Blue”) by Raymond Buckland. This is written as a self teaching book with questions at each chapter. This book delves a little deeper than Cunningham and tells you a little about other Wiccan “denominations”.
3–A Witches Bible: The Complete Witches’ Handbook by Janet and Stewart Farrar.
This one is very ritualistic and in-depth. It is actually 2 books that they had written that is put together in one volume, A Witches Bible. There are similar titles, but this is the exact one.
I kinda listed them in difficulty. With Cunningham being the “beginner” one, Buckland kind of like a “middle-school” version, and the Farrar’s being the more “technical” book.
I hope this helps you out. Ah, just a note, since I was on the bus always, I made book-covers from varying paper (wrapping paper, paper bags, even Avon paper bags) so no-one would see the title, and start something. Maybe you might keep that in mind.
