I don’t usually create a lot of posts here, but I just wrote up another core post in the witchcraft series (the bulk of which can be found here: https://www.pagangrimoire.com/category/witchcraft/) and I wanted to share this quiz in case you’d like to take it.

I’d say I’m more Lunar witch bound than earth. I don’t mind that label personally, if anything I find witch to be a term of endearment. “he’s a witch!” Damn straight I am

Before I even start, I was re-thinking what style of witch I am over this last week and of yesterday, I quickly summed it up this way.
I always considered myself an eclectic, because aren’t most of us anyway, with my foci being, elemental and solar, and I prefer fire or smoke scrying. With my birth sign, Sagittarius, strong-headed, and my birth year, Dragon; it seems that to put this in a “short order”, I may be called a Fire Witch 
I am Sagittarius (fire), Dragon (fire), solar practice and live in Vegas (sun, fire), and prefer scrying by flame or smoke (which needs fire). So, I guess that makes me a FIRE witch. I’m gonna take a break, go to the library, come back and then take the test. We’ll see.

Lol I knew very well that my practice wasn’t going to be on there, but I took it anyway for fun. When I give my natural answers on tests I almost always get Hedge Witch and of course, that’s what I got. But that only explains my personal strengths, not my practice.
I had to think about this for a while. If you were to force my new practice into a “witchy” explanation, you could sort of call it a sort of Liminal Time craft, with elements taken from sound, crystal, and sea craft. You could argue “that’s just eclectic” but it’s not because I’m following a specific tradition. In terms of application and goals though it’s more like a type of shamanistic alchemy than witchcraft.
I probably just confused the hell out of whoever reads this. 
Eastern traditions don’t fit cleanly into western labels. 
I’m going back into my weird corner now. Lol

Well, the test called me a Death Witch 
. Well, death has NEVER scared me and since I was little I have always loved to visit graveyards.
So, it seems like an oxymoron that a death witch works with the sun not the moon.

I visited a graveyard a couple times many years ago. Never did it again because as a medium it felt like I was walking into a crowd. (And boy it’s fun knowing you have that much attention too.) I wouldn’t have been too bothered by it, but the second day a few lonely souls followed me home. That’s when I got the picture lol.
Love the gothic architecture, just not a good idea for me to go inside unless I want to deal with potentially bothersome company. lol

I got Fae Witch, true enough, my whole being is connected to the relationships
we can create with Entities, but the same is true with Hedge Witch I feel.
The quiz was not deep enough, granular enough to distinguish these two
connected but divergent paths. I am Shaman, perhaps that disconnect is why.
I have to agree. The quiz is wayyy too short. Nice maybe for absolute beginners but clearly not for a seeker who’s looking for a really in-depth answer.
I always get Hedge Witch with online tests for that same reason, and I agree that Shamanism and Hedge Witchery are the same thing, just different cultures. You could argue Mediumship is also the same. It’s all liminal work. You’re altering your mind-state to communicate with the unseen and to enter other realms or planes for your workings. It blew my mind when I realized that my new practice is also a type of shamanism.
We are just inextricably linked!

It is mostly for beginners looking for their path. But, if you were to make it longer, what would you add?
I’m still a beginner in everything not on my Shaman path, but I remember a while back I asked
AI to explain in detail every type of witchcraft and OH BOY are there a lot! How I discovered
that my Path is essentially the same as a Hedge Witch, but I don’t take that label as it’s
primarily about female archetype/role. A place to start looking for ideas? Adding some types?

Oh I totally get it! I think it’s good for that purpose. I like how you included all the possible results below the test too, so they can easily read the other ones without having to retake it.
You could perhaps try adding 2-3 more questions? Maybe one for the types of familiars you’re drawn to, and another for symbols (like the one below that I took from another quiz). Maybe even another one for colors. But don’t feel pressured to change it. I appreciate you asking!
