Hi I’m Cheri and I’m just getting started. Not sure where to start learning, I want to use magick for self healing for now until I get a little more practice. I started looking into the craft after a friend of mine really made me mad and I didn’t actually say anything to her out loud but in my mind I was saying not so very nice things then all at once she jumped up and said that someone was trying to curse her and she could feel it, and I thought was it me she was talking about it? How would she feel that? I still don’t understand what happened but I’m thinking I might be a real witch. I could use some insight and just so everyone knows I pulled back when she said, I don’t want to hurt anyone not even her I was just angry. How do I control something like this?

reading and research are your best avenues of approach.
If you want to focus on only witchcraft decide what type of witch you really want to be, and if you want more of a spiritual path, wicca might be worth looking at.

There’s a ton of great resources both on the main site and a variety of obscure topics on the forum that should help you get started. I suggest looking into self-calming techniques. Calming Meditation, Mindfulness Meditation, or just focusing on your breath.
