Hello! Intro (newbie)

Hi everyone

I’m wwithering (or vanity), and I’m an 18 y/o college student.

I’ve been interested in all things witchcraft and magick for some time now, and I thought connecting with people who are more knowledgeable would help my journey. :black_heart:

I’m like 99% new to this and I joined to get a better footing on witchcraft and become more familiar with astrology, practices, and connecting spiritually.

I feel very connected to the moon.

If anyone could recommend books or guides to start I’d appreciate it lots!

Fabulous Friday Vanity,

Welcome to our pack :wolf:!! Have a look all over the place, much to see.:eyes:

Well, here are the 3 books I suggest for all newbies,

Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham**a very easy read.

Buckland’s Complete Book of Witchcraft (Affectionately called Buckland’s Big Blue) by Raymond Buckland**this is almost like a workbook, with little exercises at the end of each chapter. This book is a little more in-depth than Scotts book and explains a little about the different Wiccan “denominations” if you will.

A Witches Bible: The Complete Witches’ Handbook by Janet and Stewart Farrar** this is very ritualistic and is Gardnerian Wicca. This explains in-depth the rituals of Wicca.

Stop by my Tarot Talks for the end of this month, and I have started Tarot Tribute for July. It’s just conversations and studying of the tarot.

I am in Vegas, Baby, Vegas and a returning practitioner. I, like many you will find, are returning to our roots. We had left the craft for a variety of reasons, “life got in the way” and are now returning. I am an eclectic as are most of us, some of us are mainstream religious, others pagan, others athiest. You will find anyone to connect with.

Have a great weekend!!

Welcome Vanity,

You’re in the right place! The books Lady Gene suggests are solid ways to start - as well as the main site to the forum. The owner of the site is extremely well-read. The forum here is great if you’re looking for guidance on more complicated matters or just to socialize. Lots of experienced members here who are happy to help. Like Lady Gene mentions too - not all of us are pagan. Some of us are both though, such as in my tradition. The sky’s the limit!

Cheers. :lotus:
