Cauldron Conversations

Merry Meet Magickal Mavens,

This is just a spot to talk about whatever is on your mind, so as to NOT have to open a new thread each time.

ElHombreBruja…this is for you, baby…start the conversation!!

Greetings

When opening your altar, do you invite the Goddess and God, Witch Father and Mother, 4 archangels, Spirits of sun , moon and the other world and the four elements to join with you in this special time or just keep it shorter ie Goddess and God?

Wonderful Questions!!!

I am not a Wiccan but a Witch. I honor the elements and give the elements some of the “properties” of each a name, just so that my mind has a focus. I do not use the name as a God/dess in the sense of assuming they do/know it all. I make my circle and address the elements…Air, I talk to Athena for Wisdom, Sila for the Breeze/air and Nut for the Sky. I then go to Brigid for the sun, Water, I talk to Danu for the water element and Tiamat for “chaos and control”, I ask her for help and to give me control through the chaos I will face throughout the day, and for Earth I speak to Spider Grandmother, Keya and Ala, for all that I have and my tangibles.

This is how I start my circle, then proceed to my supplications, and then I close with…

Thank-you ladies so dear, for bringing your wisdom to me here.

Then bless with pouring water on the ground and then take my sip in solidarity.

I hope this helps you out.

Greetings again Hombre Bruja!

Unfortunately I’m also not a Wiccan, but I was once many years ago!

No, I did not call on everyone for every single ritual. It varied on the kind of work I was doing. Like I would call on my ancestors if I wanted emotional support and advice, or call on the Goddess/God for bigger issues, and I would call on the elements and others if I was performing a spell and on the sabbats.

My opening rituals now are completely different, but if you’re strictly going for a Wiccan advice, that’s what I did then. Hope that helps! :trident_emblem:

For me, just my Patron Saints the demigoddess and the demigod. The two of them help me

connect to ELOHIM. I realize my Pantheon is quite a bit different, but this helps me to focus.

I call upon Odin, Thor, Nyx and Hecate for help in rituals to banish unwanted or evil spirits. I also used to work with Circie and Aradia when it came to me practicing the craft.

Makes sense to me!

My practice now I know would confuse everyone but y’all are tempting me to share it anyway. :joy: I still think my practice is weirder than yours Sedim, you just don’t know the extent of it LOL.

Cheers. :lotus:

Oh, I don’t reveal ALL of my weirdness, it’s more intense than even I can handle.

But, my Familiar says ‘mum’s the word’ and I listen to Her at all times. (you better believe I do!)

I identify more as a secular witch now (however i tried working with deities before) so i would call something like “the world” or simply “things” hahaha:joy::joy::joy:

BTW i saw a post about magical smithing/metal magic on tumblr, i’m really interested, and want to combine it with my silversmithing hobby, maybe like making magical items?

I found out that i’m more inclined to inorganic stuff like metals and minerals, so my path might include a lot of such stuff hhhhh
