Water Cooler for February 2026

Fabulous February, Happy Imbolc, and Merry, Magickal Monday….

Thought maybe we can have a monthly place to just talk….by changing the thread each month….the posts won’t be too long.
I’ll start—–Imbolc AND the Snow Moon….Does anyone write their monthly goals at the full or new moon? I do, then fold it up and keep it in my Llewellyn’s Witches Datebook 2026 (no, not plugging the product…just really like it, use it for my daily oblations, notes…). Then next full/new moon, I open it up at my altar, and see how the month unfolded in regards to my goals to meet, or goals to cease something. Just a monthly tab on myself to watch my progress.

I struggle to know what day of the week it is, and in turn, forget the week or month, so I always forget to consider things like monthly goals :face_with_peeking_eye:

 Terrific Tuesday Red,

I hear ya, since my coma and TBI in 2015, sometimes I cannot even remember, by mid-afternoon (3 or so), what I did in the morning was THIS morning or yesterday.
My morning “yap”….the Imbolc bug really hit, and I spent all weekend going through my “stuff”. If it hasn’t been used in 6 month, out it goes….of course, unless it is something I must keep, such as my winter coat) Well, have loads of stuff I have been getting rid of…last couple days, took all my old, but good hardbacks to the library. Today, 2 loads of clothes that are good, just too big, went from size 14 to a size 6 through the winter. (no…nothing sickly, just good discipline and diet). So, WOW, I am getting my house back. Put my foot down about husband’s hoarding, had to start clearing stuff out before it gets out of hand. My stuff had to go too. Way back in the day, when I was moving states every couple years, I would check my stuff every 6 months and unload. Since I’ve been in my “coma phase” since 2015, and only “woke up” these last 2 years, I had a lot of C*** to go through. Now, I have 2 bags I need to unload today. A homeless couple I had contact with here by home a year ago, I just saw at the library. I’m gonna give them these clothes. They are really good people. :upside_down_face:

Well, have a great day all, Lady Gene :magic_wand:

Do that on every full moon! It’s pretty easy to do and a lot of fun

Oh, then you identify with my blursday post on the Inspiration thread.

Magnificent Monday Feb 9–

How is everyone’s weather? We are a little warmer than normal for now, but I don’t believe the cold is gone yet. How about the Super Bowl? I don’t follow sports, but I was born in San Francisco and grew up here in Vegas, Baby, Vegas, so I gotta go West Coast. They played an interesting game.

Well, here’s to spring…:clinking_glasses: Lady Gene :magic_wand:

Hey Lady! Here in North Carolina it’s still cold but very sunny :sun_with_face:! Didn’t watch the Bowl this year. Hope all is going well with you. Help me manifest some warmth, may?

I’m not into football as it’s modern gladiatorial combat that destroys the health of it’s players.

No, I don’t need ‘bread & circuses’. My sport is Karate-Do, and I’ve recently discovered a lot

of practitioners do martial arts! At my age maybe I can do Tai Chi? IDK. It’s a bit warmer

here, didn’t need to worry about frozen pipes last night, didn’t need to trickle the faucet.

ooh about the super bowl, I was really excited to hear that Green Day was preforming! Sadly I got to all the streams and such after they had already preformed, so I’ll just look for a video of them online. tbh I don’t pay much attention to the super bowl other than the preformances lmao I don’t know much about sports.

It is still summer where I am, and entering the hot and humid tail end of the season, which I hate.

Indeed I am.

I enjoyed the Superbowl (even though my team lost :sob:), it was just nice to see grass. We are still under a foot of snow up here near Cleveland!

I am just starting to get a bit of the spring stirrings, I’ve very seriously considered actually getting to some of those things I keep meaning to get to. Fingers crossed that feeling grows lol

I am feeling the creativity sparks from the Snow Moon, though! I’m working on making myself a new Book of Shadows. I got some lovely linen for the cover and can’t wait to get started!

I just realized that Tuesday, Feb. 17 is a busy day! Solar eclipse, Mardi Gras, Ramadan, and Lunar New Year (horse). I think it’s gonna be a fun day for some nature activities? What say you, everyone?

I have no idea if i am even working or not that day, or even when it is… apart from being the 17th.
I tend to know where i am, not when i am thanks to shift work.

@Mish6278 I didn’t realize either! I agree that when the world screams ‘Celebrate!’ at you, it’s best to find something to do lol

My mind went to music and crafts (like cord braiding or macrame) for celebrating. A mini feast maybe, the idea of clearing out the last bits of winter’s heavy foods to make room for the coming light treats of spring.

It could be wonderful time to think on spells and rituals of change and self exploration. Confronting hard/hidden truths with grace, and a celebratory shedding of things we no longer need to carry.
