Thanks for making these!

It’s nice to have a dedicated thread for general conversation. As a Millennial, my temptation is to either call it our little coffee-shop, or our tea-shop, as coffee-shops are one of our most popular social spaces, and because it makes me think of the phrase “That’s the Tea.”

Cheers, Lady Gene!

Thank-you Wren,

Water Cooler was too outdated for everyone….yeah, I’m old. I will change the months, of course, so we know which one to talk on. Love your picture!!!

Well, my first for march…..All February has been turmoil for me; looks like it’s coming to a head pretty soon.. I hope it is really soon, so I can close this chapter and work toward the rest of the year!

okay, story from yesterday…..went to eat chinese at a local place down the block. Walked in and a guy who had ordered asks me, “do you want the soda?”…”no, thank-you”…I place my order, she asks if I want water, “please” Now, the guy bellows at me, “you won’t take a soda from me, but you’ll take a water from her!”—– He picked the WRONG person, on the WRONG day, at absolutely the WORST moment—-I looked at him, “don’t be an idiot!! I don’t drink carbonated water!” He looked stupified (how can you “look” what you are  ) and shut up. He gave her more grief when she brought his take out (I probably would have refused to serve him at that point…but she already had his money and the order…life moves forward) He spent about 5 minutes bitching about what was in the bag because “last time you forgot….” [take your pick]…she’s holding out the bag, asking him if he wants it…he jus keeps asking did she forget this, or that…after about 6 to 10 times, he finally grabbed the bag and walked out in a huff. A few minutes later, she comes to my table with 2 eggrolls, “these are free, thank-you”… WOW!

ha….husband just came out of his room, he’s been hiding there since late January, stares at me and says, “are you gonna keep acting this way?” I looked at him and said, “are you?”….he says under his breath, “don’t blame me for what you do.” Yeah, not blaming him at all….I’m going to bingo, went for Chinese last night, go to the library….wash dishes, cook…have my oblations, morning and evening…I’m doing what???

For those who don’t know…coma–long story, and long coma–but what I AM doing now, is NOT being a Stepford Wife/Doormat for my husband, since I am now “awake” and know my ownself. So what am I “doing”, being true to myself, but not selfish, still taking care of these 3 other men in my house (son 30, nephew 26, and grandson 25). Husband is pissed because he cannot tell me to jump, with my response being “how high”….now my response is “why/what for”. He does not have any reasons except it is what HE wants at the moment. Sorry, all people here, we all have wants. He actually wakes up in the middle of the night and looks at all the rooms to see if everyone is asleep. If they are not, he gets mad. Yep, I live in a home with someone who believes that “Leave it to Beaver” is reality and the way life is supposed to be. Even if there is NOT an issue, he has to create one so that he can “fix” it. I am so over that!!! Why do men always think that a woman cannot survive without one? I mean, who raises the family and takes care of the farm during war times? Ah, doesn’t take a genuis to figure that one out!!

I must say, I hate pop. Not for the carbonation (I’ll take sparkling water) but the sugar &

Mom raised us with generic cola every lunch & dinner. It’s why I have few teeth, enamel gone.

I have been known to tell the kids ‘goto bed’ @3 even if they’re adults, but they have poor sleep.

@Sedim_Haba

I’m excited for the Worm Moon and the lunar eclipse! (although not for the crack of dawn part lol).

@Lady-Gene sorry things are rough but insisting on the change you need 100% the right thing to be doing and it sounds like you are doing it in the right way.

I can’t wait for spring to actually get here, we got another few inches of snow here just as it was starting to warm up :sob:

Sensational Sunday All,

Sedim, pop at meals, wow. I was only allowed to have one occasionally. Never became accustomed to the bubbles. No beer, no sparkling water…when I have to get something to drink at a fountain, I will get iced tea or a Hi-C…no bubbles.

Chenoa, more snow??? It is unusually warm this week. Last couple of weeks we’ve gone from 30 degree morning, barely 50 afternoons, to 50 mornings and yesterday past 80 :open_mouth:. Spring is always weird here, but not this bad. Did you make snow water???

March looks like it could be interesting. I have been focused on finding a house, and I think I found one.
It is raining as I type, which us awesome. Can’t wait for the cooler weather of Autumn.

Maybe ‘why do most men..’ would be a better answer.
I see a lot of abuse cases through my line of work and agree that most men need a wake up kick to the balls.
But some of us are not like that.

Regardless, I am horrorfied at the crap you have goining on in your life at the moment. Unbelievable.

Sensational Sunday Red,

Yes, like you said, I have to remember “most” no ALL. Being from here in Vegas, I absolutely LOVE the rain!!!:cloud_with_lightning_and_rain: I love stormy, cloudy weather. Makes me want the fire and some hot chocolate.

We had soda constantly growing up, too. I know there are a lot of good health reasons to stop drinking it but I stopped because it was just too pricey.

Lady Gene,

I’m jealous! We got into the high 40s once last week but it’s 25 now. They are saying 50s, maybe 60s next week so fingers crossed! Some snow water is a good idea, maybe it will help me be less grumpy about it lol

Rain and thunderstorns are my favorite weather.
I am still in bed, listening to the rain on the roof.

I am most certainly not! Crack of dawn? The mere thought makes me want to back to bed… lol. I know I could do something - but I also feel like I could sleep for a week right now…

Noooo!!! I was so close! :sob: LOL

Yup, 5 am here. Of course, it may be cloudy, I’ll just grab the bowl of moon water before a

bird poops in it, and go back to bed. I’ve gotten up from stress at 4 plenty of times.

Good Day Lady Gene,

Your restaurant story, wow… he had a real fork up his [censored]! lol

I’m sorry to hear that you’re going through that, but I’m glad to hear it will be over soon. I also finally reached the end of a pretty long cycle of suffering, and let me tell you from the other side - freedom? It feels GOOD.

Glad you liked the photo.

Stay True!

I’m fairly certain that making eclipse water at the temps I’m currently seeing would rapidly turn it into eclipse ice - which would be fun to work with! My first temptation is tarot readings though. That’s likely what I’ll end up doing, along with another day of Uposatha.

Yeah I’ve never gotten along with mornings. I tend to stay up very late too, but then I’ll sleep like a stone and my body will refuse to wake up early. I’m often not fully awake until 10. It was even worse when I was a teen too, where I’d fall asleep at 3-4 am and not be properly awake until 12. In another life, I think I was a vampire.

That would be an adventure!!!:ice: :snowflake: Lady Gene :phoenix:
