Tarot Tribute July 2026

Fabulous Friday,

I will start with June 29, Monday, but this is the start of the July thread.

So, Elements:
 Air: Represented by the Swords, is for the mind…thought, intellect, learning

:fire: Fire: Represented by Wands, is for passion (fiery will)…actions, enthusiasm, movement- think what does fire do, it burns (transforms), creates, destroys, pushes, in essence it makes you take notice.

:ocean: Water: Represented by Cups, is for emotions…feelings, but do not get confused with intuition, which is considered a feeling of the mind (air/swords), water/cup feelings are emotional.

:globe_with_meridians: Earth: Represented by Pentacles is for resources…I prefer the word tangibles, the things that I can touch, that I have, that are “real”, other words are assets, responsibilities (you are responsible for the things that you have, home, job, kids, car…the tangibles. This word works for me.

I will make a completely different post for the meaning of the numbers.

Fabulous Friday Friends!!,

Getting ready for Monday and July Tarot talks, next week. Above are the Elements and what represents each element in tarot. Now I will tackle the meaning of the numbers 1-10.( {xyz} will be my choice for the number.)

  1. Potential, possibilities {beginnings}
  2. Choice
  3. Growth, think 1 plus 1 [the first 2 cards] equals 3, (man and woman, equal child) {harmony}
  4. Stability
  5. Disruption {obstacle}
  6. Harmony (I know, this is my word for 3…3 cups harmony, 3 swords not harmony, 3 pent harmony [working together]) so for this number I see/use {relation to others}
  7. Predicament, I have a hard time wrapping my mind around this, I have used “relationship to others”, “reflection”, “right choices”, I just cannot come up with one word for this one.
  8. Discipline, as in self-control, not punishment
  9. Fulfillment, you are reaping your rewards
  10. Culmination, completion and realization,

If you are into numerology there is more to look at with these numbers and cards.

To go to the Royalty-

  • Page- Earth, represent their suits aspect of grounding (remember they are the closest to the earth in the pictures and hierarchy. The page also represents Impetus.
  • Knight- Fire, represent the action and movement taken in their suit. The knight takes the ideas and energy of the page and puts it into motion.
  • Queen- Water, represents the divine feminine of their suit, the nurturing, reception, and comfort of their suit
  • King-Air, they take it all in and have it make sense (your mind)

The Queen and Kings used to represent female and male almost literally, with modern times letting people be more genuine with themselves, these 2 cards refer to the feminine and masculine energies.

Well, this will get us started for Monday the end of June,

Have a great weekend wonderful witches!!!:magic_wand:

Figured I’d hop in over here to continue - seems like a good place to split up the conversation.

Oh yes… much more. When you apply numerology a lot of those meanings change.

This is very interesting to me because I’ve never applied the elements to the royal cards universally in this way. I’ve always assigned the elements individually based on the suit of the card. Like the King of Wands would be a Fire King. The Queen of Pentacles would be an Earth Queen. The Page of Swords would be an Air Page, or the Knight of Cups would be a Water Knight.

Cheers. :trident_emblem:

Wonderful Wanderings of the Mind Wren,

I had a hard time working with that too, the royalty and elements outside of their suits.

When it comes to Pages, this is how I liken the royalty with the elemental energy to go with their suit.

Page of Swords–grounding of the Air suit (mind/intellect), I see him having faith (grounding) in the decision to be made.

Page of Wands–grounding the suit of Wands (action/movement), as he looks at his wand he is grounding his thoughts, getting ready for the action to come.

Page of Cups–grounding with the suit of Cups (emotion), you are being allowed to feel your emotions

Page of Pentacles–grounding with Earth, ah, duh?, how do you ground with the ground? I see it as practicality, realizing what is in front of you, before you can move forward.

So, this is how I liken the different royalties as a “suit within a suit”.

Great weekend! Lady Gene :bow_and_arrow:

That makes sense when you describe it that way. Neat. Thanks for elaborating! :lotus:

Terrific Tuesday Tarot Talkers,

I have been reviewing my year spread and how each month has been fitting in so far.

So, today, I decided to make a pull asking “how will next month unfold?”

3 card pull that I read as a sentence from L to R. (sorry, all, I do not know how to add//find pictures)

Page Pentacles–manifestation, diligence, financial opportunity

3 Empress–abundance, nurture, abundance, growh

10 Wands–burden, responsibility

So, next month, will be the beginning/manifestation of abundance/tangibles (Page of Pent), with this abundance will come growth but I will have to carry much responsibility.

This makes sense to me.

Son and I have been working on a project that is looking good this month. Seems as if it will continue and even improve next month, but other issues here at home may wind up with me having a much larger/heavier load of responsibility.

Well, have fun all looking at the lists I posted. If noone has a different idea, I think I will do a daily pull and some discussion about the cards.

Please stop by and let your voice be heard.

That’s interesting to see the playing card correspondences! I’ve never known how to read playing cards in that way.

I have no preference on how to proceed - so read on! Swords sound fine. :lotus:

Wacky Wednesday Wren,

Bap me upside the head:joy:, I must confess, I love cards, I am a third-generation games dealer here in Vegas, but not until April or May of this year did I find out that playing cards can be used like tarot. So, I am new to the playing cards for tarot, I am still working with just the tarot and lenormand cards at this point. But I’m mean with any card game you wanna bring my way!!

Witchy Wednesday Wonders,

To continue for the week, I think a combination will be nice of numbers with their suits.

I will start with Aces and Twos.

Aces are beginnings, starts, newness, and twos are choices, A or B, yes or no, so on.

Ace of Swords, beginning of thought–new ideas, clearing of mental fog

Ace of Wands, beginning of action/movement–taking the first step, starting a new project, urge to get-going

Ace of Cups, beginning of emotions–new love, compassion, intuition

Ace of Pentacles, beginning of stuff/things [I call these tangibles because they are physical objects]–manifestations, opportunity (money-making), prosperity

Now to the Twos, choices–like above, such as A or B, yes or no, specific choices

Two Swords–swords are the intellect so this is pointing (pun intended) to a decision that must be dealt with, it can no longer be put off, if for no other reason than to put your mind at rest.

Two Wands–wands are action/movement, the figure is holding a globe and looking between the staves at the water. It looks as if he is considering expansion. The choice is whether to proceed in moving forward or staying put.

Two Cups, emotions–A couple facing each other with goblets, looks like a wedding toast. I see a choice in the emotions, do you choose emotional choice A or B, neither is right nor wrong, just a choice.

Two of Pentacles, the tangibles (things you can see and/or touch)–the figure looks as if he is juggling two items, the water behind him is turbulent also, this looks like a management problem to me, which task needs your priority. Things need to become balanced again.

Tomorrow, I will tackle some other numbers.

For today, I will post a question: How can I make my day most enjoyable?

I prefer a simple 3-card layout for daily questions. My pull: 3 Cups; Page Wands; 17 Star

I see, celebration, enthusiasm and hope.

To make today most enjoyable; in regards to what my son and I have been working on.

I need to celebrate the progress we have made so far, continue with the enthusiasm of our win and have hope/faith that it will continue.

Looking at other tarot reads these last few days, looks like things will be going quite well!

Everyone have a great Witchy Wednesday, and back at ya tomorrow.

Lady Gene :bow_and_arrow:

Thoughtful Thursday Tarot Talkers,

Today I will go through the numbers 3 (harmony) and 4 (stability)

3 Swords, Air/Intellect- it is hard to see anything positive from this card. It seems like heartbreak which would be the cups, so how to “fix” this problem. I see heartbreak but with the swords/air/intellect I see how it is coming to the painful conclusion that what you were believing is not correct. So the choice here is how are you going to deal with this knowledge? accept or not

3 Wands, fire, action - similar to card 2 with wands, he is looking over his empire. the 2 was him thinking about whether or not to expand, now is the harmony, in that a decision the querent has decided what action to take and willing to deal with the circumstances.

3 Cups, water, emotion - harmony in this case, I see as contentment within the tribe, celebration, friendship.

3 Pentacles, earth, tangibles - we see a group gathered, harmony in this case looks like people working together for a common goal.

Now to the 4’s Stability–I have a hard time with some of these cards.

4 Swords, air and the intellect/mind–looks like the mind needs a little rest, step-back and take a breather, take a loooong coffee break

4 Wands, actions- seems that things have become stable to start, everything is going smoothly

4 Cups, emotions/feeling-this one gives me a little problem. Stability in emotions, some see this as meditation and taking time out to re-group, I see this more as ignoring what is right in front of you. This reminds me of a petulant child that just will not take that cup of milk. Any other insights here would be helpful.

4 Pentacles - This one I really cannot wrap my head around what this card wants me to see. The books and guide-words for this card, are security, conservative, saving…I kind of see the opposite, a fear of release, letting-go, sharing, not someone of good will, but I see a Miser. Since this is what I always see, I read it in this way, and it seems to work for me. Thoughts anyone?

A Draw for today July 2-2026. Where might there be a hiccup (obstacle) today?

I decided to go with 1-card, hopefully easier to read. NOT

My card is 9 Wands, this happens to be a difficult card for me, 9 represents fulfillment, however, I always see this card as looking over your shoulder, as if waiting for the ax to fall. How is that fulfilling? If anyone knows Star Trek: The Next Generation, this card always reminds me of the Paklids, “nothing if not persistent”. This is telling me, that since I am always “waiting for the other ax to fall” (one of my mantras is ‘hope for the best, but prepare for the worst’ so I’m always waiting for that ax), again this card is telling me to STOP doing that. I am the one creating the “hiccup”. By constantly being “on the lookout” I am creating my own “hiccup”. This is telling me to lighten-up a bit, there is not a monster around every corner. Wow, much insight from one little card.

Well, it’s time to go for Free 55+ Bingo at Arizona Charlies down the street. Hey, if I can win a couple $100 for free…

Lady Gene :bow_and_arrow:

Fantastic Friday Friends,

Well, bingo was a bust yesterday.

Tarot for today, let us go ahead and tackle numbers 5 and 6. Five for obstacle, disruption, problem, change, trouble. I prefer obstacle, something that stands in the way of the goal, it may be an obstacle, an action, a unexpected change, so I just stick with obstacle. Six is often considered harmony, but I used that for 3, so for 6 I go with relation to/with others because it is not necessarily harmonious.

So, here we go- 5 obscatcle.

  • 5 Swords-my first thought is Pyrrhic Victory, winning-at-all-costs, sneaky. Your mind is intent on winning no matter the consequences.
  • 5 Wands-looks like fighting, but that is relegated to the 7 Wands, this is a competition, but it more of a friendly competition, I think of play-wrestling, puppies tussling, it’s a competition (such as a relay race) not a fight (as in defending, card 7).
  • 5 Cups-disappointment, regret, failure. It feels similar to the 4 Cups (missing out) but now you regret the action, you may be disappointed because you realize your belief about something was not right. I see the figure trying to sort through the emotions and figure out what to do next.
  • 5 Pentacles -the guidewords that I find are hardship, financial loss, isolation, poverty. Well, I have difficulty with this card, I see hardship, they are walking barely clothes for the snow and wind, which is obvious of their financial loss, hence the poverty and isolation (because they are impoverished, and not the right class) however, I also see the stained-glass window, is that a church? I see them as purposefully walking away from help. So, I have some difficulty with this card.

On to the 6 relation to others,

  • 6 Swords - the guidebook says escape, but escape intimates fear in having to leave; I see him as willfully leaving, look at the water. At the bottom of the card the driver is pushing away from troubled water into calmer water. Swords is an intellectual suit, I see escape as an action [fire] card. I see the driver making the choice to leave the problem and go to a calmer shore. The family is together, this signifies a complete commitment to this decision.
  • 6 Wands -public recognition, victory (parade), self-confidence. The first 2 are obviously actions, but self-confidence is seen as an act of your person. People feel that energy.
  • 6 Cups - emotional relation to others…hmmm, I am not quite sure which guidewords I prefer, nostalgia, memories, familiarity, reminiscing. The reason I have a problem with this card, is purely personal, the picture on this card shows a happy child, the card is memories, past. My childhood has less happy memories than I can count on 1 hand.
  • 6 Pentacles - relation to others with your tangibles, sharing, giving, reciprocity, charity. I do not like the picture of the beggars in particular, because you do not have to only give to the poor. Generosity takes many forms. I stick with giving for this card.

So Tarot Tribute question today-What needs undivided attention at home? 6 Wands; 0 Fool; 17 Star

Self-confidence; beginnings; hope/faith.

Looks like this is about the project my son and I are working on, again. We must be going in the right direction if this keeps coming up. (Or am I just being tunnel-visioned because my son and I are doing something so this is on the top of my mind?)

The cards are telling me to put attention at self-confidence, since this is the beginning of our project and to remain hopeful/faithful in the process.

My son has been feeling a little down the last couple days. So, I need to help keep his confidence up here at home, so that he will have enthusiasm in keeping the faith that what we are doing will be a success.

Everyone have a great weekend, son and I have our project to work on. Have fun all!!

Sensational Saturday, Happy Fourth here in America :fireworks:

I will just post a question for today.

The question: Am I “operating at top efficiency”? (Am I trying my best?)

My draw is the 10 of Swords. The 10 representing culmination, a sum-up, in this case the mind. So, I have come to the realization of pain and collapse (in my marriage) but have opened a new positive opportunity/venture. With this being the case, I would have to say, yes, I am “operating at top efficiency”. I have accepted the disappointment of my marriage, but am able to move on without focus on the past and am able to put my energy into the new venture with my son.

Well, putting this in late Thursday, early the Fourth, I figure most people will be busy.

Have a great holiday, and weekend!

Sensational Sunday Sorcerers,

Tarot today - What/Who should I say NO to today? 6 Wands; 6 Lovers; Q Pent.

This was interesting. This is what I came up with, took a while to work it out.

In order to maintain my self-confidence (sanity) I need to say NO to anything involving my husband today and focus on nurturing myself.

Which makes absolute sense after what happened yesterday. (My altar was found upturned and burning, in the back yard…ah, locked gate, hmmmm, wonder who it could have been?!)

As the Empress, I need to focus on nurturing myself as I make plans for my future.
