For years I have not tried Tarot cards because none of the decks I have seen have ‘spoken’ to me… until today that is.
Upon a bit of research I discovered the deck is a “beginner’s deck” of 22 cards. As these are the major arcana cards, would I be missing anything compared to a larger deck of cards?
Hello,
Some use only the Major Arcana in their readings so it’s ok maybe?
I think the Major Arcana focuses on more broad and abstract things and major life events while the Minor Arcana can be more down to earth and closer to everyday life?
I have a couple of decks that only want me to use the majors and some are fine with me using all the cards. The majors are a really great way to get use to doing readings.

Thank you
I have held off for years because of not ‘feeling it’ for a deck until now. So that is quite reassuring,
Fox,
I have a “beginner” deck of RWS tarot that has the picture with the meanings and other information. It really helps in learning the cards without having to consult the book all the time. For me at least, learning this “basic” design, has made it easier for me to understand different artwork in other tarot decks. A regular deck has 78 cards. Don’t get overwhelmed….I took it real slow for about a year, and now, they seem to be coming together for me. I have decided to start reading the cards only upright, not reversed. It is easier to learn how the card “acts” in relation to other cards if you learn with all of them the same direction first.
I’m loving the cards, hope you do too, Red, Lady Gene

Sadly the deck I want is not sold in Australia, and postage costs just as much as the deck…. but that isn’t too bad a price considering how much decks sell where I am.
From a fox to another,
Do as you will, craft as you wish, as long as it rings true, your intuition will guide you to it.
There is no wrong or right way to do things, if you feel it, go for it. If not, leave it. Tarots is a one size fit all but it also comes from you.
How you practice and how you read them, as long as it feels like home, then follow your own inner guidance.
As long as no harm or ill intentions are done or sent, as long as its done with respect and good intentions.
Sounds like a cliche advice, but it works. Take it if it resonates, leave it if it doesnt
