Protection Amulet Too Powerful?

I had turned my amulet into a protection piece, bound it in black ribbon while stating my intention. Long story short, I said that this amulet will shield me from all negative energy so long as I am wearing it. I also have a protection sigil in my room and in my bag.

Last night when I took off the amulet before going to bed, within five minutes of removing it, I felt a heavy, overwhelming wave of energy. I felt like I couldn’t breathe. Anxiety. I put it back on, and this feeling faded very quickly.

What did I do wrong?

IMHO, that’s the problem. ALL negative energy. Humans need some negative energy, to grow

to overcome, to learn. This is what my Familiar is saying as well. Not all negative is ‘evil’ and

not all positive is ‘good’. A bit less total, just the evil? Consider:

I figured as such. How can I ‘dull’ this protection? I’m afraid to take the necklace off now lol
