Sunshiny Sunday Sweet Spellmakers,
I thought this might be of interest to anyone who may be having problems practicing due to their environment.
When there is too much going on here, and I cannot go in the back yard to my altar stump, I just close the door and stand at my bed, make circle, or I use the bathroom. I have used the bathroom often. I like to use the mirror and candles for scrying.![]()
I also have a small, portable altar in a tin box (Altoids, Curiously Strong Mints
). I have feathers for Air, lighter for Fire, a small shell I found on the beach years ago for Water, and assorted, coins, marble, bark, for Earth, and the blade of a broken, black, obsidian athame for my wand. I keep it “loaded” and ready to go at a moments notice.
You do not need to worry about doing it “right”. If your heart and soul and whole being are there actively when you practice, then you are doing it “right”
Witchcraft is personal and individual. Wicca is more ritualistic. You can be/practice one without the other, they are not inter-changeable but similar.
So do as you feel called. If it works for you than you are doing it right.
Just a little conversation starter about how/when/where/why we practice.
