im new’ish in the world of neo-pagan. ive read a few books and am still finding my own path.
tonight, on the Equinox in my time zone, I’ve cobbled together what i know and what speaks to me to have a ritual.
i spoke words I’ve worked on and it felt right. I feel the spirit i work with hears me, in a way. The one i work with is a farie, one a little more meaner than others, though i cant help but feel a pull towards her.
i just want to open a dialogue really and talk to anyone who wishes, I’m very new to a lot of this and would just like to talk to those who practice or just walk one of the paths.
Welcome to our pack !! It sounds like you are on your way, that is great! Mean, or evil spirit, kind of depends on what you are looking for. It took me almost 2 years to find my person deity (Kali). Just keep plugging along with what feels right. There is no right or wrong in the craft. Everyone is basically an eclectic, deciding what works for them.
So, a little info. I’m 61, from Vegas, Baby, Vegas, and a returnee to the craft after “life got in the way”. So, how about you.
Please stop by Tarot Talks. I host a daily pull, come along and join us! The Daily Thread is really funny, too, check it out.
Thank you Lady Gene! i’m a simple guy from north-east england, 34. Jenny Greenteeth is the head of my alter. shes a mean fairie from my folklore, close by truthfuly, at least an aspect of the water hag, Peg Powler is my local water hag. i wont get into the duckweeds about it, but i see them as a close lesson on being safe, while being spirits of the thing that give all of us life, water. I’ll definitely drop by you for tarots some time, but for now I just would love to hear folk talk about what they perhaps look for when contacting their guides. at times I just feel out of my depth,
Similar to Sedim, I have a familiar who attached to me around 1984 whom I have named Steve. He is a prankster, like Loki of Norse Mythology. When I was in Hawaii, I had a friend who had a “very close encounter” (terrifying) with a Menehune from that culture. Kali from the Hindu culture just recently (this month) has come to me and I am honored. But, I have nothing to offer of what you ask. But this is a very interesting topic. I will keep up.
I’m very new to the forum and fairly new to the craft, though there have been bits and pieces of it throughout my life. I found this forum by accident and already feel like it’s a great place to learn and help grow from.
I’m lucky enough to live in Florida, I have an affinity to water, so I love being by the coast. Due to life being life my adult kids are both living back at home, plus a significant other and 3 dogs so our house is loud and crazy. Most days I wouldn’t have it any other way. Notice I didnt say every day. lol.
