This is my path through the Elder trees, where I walk every morning. I call it my entry to the faerie realm. Funny thing is, the sun is behind me in early morning, but no matter how many pictures I took they always came out blurry and glared. It finally occurred to me that the faerie folk didn’t want me to have a clear picture for sharing. They reluctantly agreed that it was okay to share this one. I also have “my” tree, where I sit and listen. Do you have a special place where you feel close to the Otherworld? Brightest Blessings!
If ye think to enter here, dare not disrespect this portal. Know ye that the Fae are near, to take ye from the world that’s mortal. And know ye this be a sacred place, ever mindful ye should be. Cause no harm, leave not a trace, for elder be the Lady’s tree.
Yes! I do! Every day I leave for work early and sit for a few minutes under this gnarled, moss covered tree with deep roots that have surfaced. Even if I sit in my car, it throws leaves and twigs into my car. I have named it Mossroot
Your space looks liminal and magical, you’re lucky to have such a space to wander. We’ve managed to pave or concrete most of where I live but here and there a tree or park gives a bit of respite. On a daily basis, it’s my garden that provides a connection to nature.
It’s great that you have maintained a connection to nature. It looks peaceful. Even if it was just a plant in the window, it would still be an important connection. I honestly believe that many of the mental health issues people face are directly related to our disconnect with nature.
Agreed! It seems a lot of people are noticing and feeling this for themselves and are either “heading for the hills” or searching out/creating places. My garden is only 12x6 but I feel better (and eat better) when I’m taking care of it.
