Have you ever felt that whatever divinatory tool you are using, it has some how lied ot you? LIke using the technique of the Aces. Ask a yes or no question start a pile, count to 13 or when you get an Ace, start another pile. Repeat until you get to the fouth pile. Two Aces means yes and more than that it means it more likely to happen. Is it possible that your tools love you so much, that they give you the answers you want to hear. Could we actually be manipulating the cards in a way to get the answers we want. What do you guys think? Sorry I don’t get on here often. I do appreciate this group. I am 62 years old and been reading, since I was a young teenager using the Thoth Deck and I have many other decks.
Hi White Crow. I’m 63 years old and have been reading tarot for many years. The thing I do for the best results is to meditate and ground myself before reading. I found that I get the best results whether I am happy with them or not by doing this. Hope this helps.
Hello Catpurri. Yeah I do all that, even evoking a circle, calling the quarters, grounding the whole nine yards. I don’t make any sense. Sometimes, if you ask the Tarot the same question many times, The Tarot will get irritated and start giving you nonsense, but I actually waited a month before I asked the Tarot a yes or no question again. I used to carry my Thoth deck with me everywhere, taking them out, when I could and shuffling them, doing readings, having them under my pillow. I got a box for them and started leaving them there. I have started back doing that again, but refuse to do readings, they started giving me headaches and weird dreams. I was doing readings so much. I was very good. I think hopefully after I make friends with them again. Thank you so much for your advice. I do appreciate it.
Hi Whitecrow. Wow, I don’t know what to say to that. I don’t get weird readings. I never ask the same question again. I will ask for clarification. I don’t ask yes or no questions much because it leaves too much open, but that’s just me. I usually use a 3 card spread for quick answers. Other than that I don’t know what to tell you. Have you tried runes? I find they don’t work for me but others I know use them instead of tarot. Hope things start to get better for you. Being able to balance and get answers is so important.
It might be that you’re not ready to hear the truth? So perhaps your deck is ‘looking after you’ by giving you a more acceptable reading.
I would start again and try another deck. If you get the same, maybe ask for the truth (yes, meditate, as already suggested) … After all if you are asking, you also also prepared to hear the correct answer.
