Candles like Magic. I want to ask if I use tea lights instead of normal ones does it matter.
Personally, for security reasons, I use an Aroma Lamp. Spiritual Beings who love light accept it.

Typically, yes! Most will use tealights when they don’t want to have a candle burn for as long.

Yes, absolutely!! I use tealights myself. They are inexpensive and as seeking said, they burn a lot quicker. I buy packs of tealights at Wally World, got my tealight lotus holder in the clearance section for $1. The tealight candles take about 4 hours to burn. I have learned if you burn it partway (about an hour) and blow it out to leave the house, it usually will not re-light. The old tea light aluminum shell is useful for other things throughout the day. An old holder can be used the next day for your cone incense holder. The Craft does not have to be expensive.
I even use shells, for water element, feathers for air, and pieces of bark or leaves for the earth element. You can find much of what you need on-the-cheap.
I always think about our forebears who had to hide their practice. They did not have alot of the doo-dads, they had to use what was available that did not look out of place. Keeping that in mind, almost anything can be used.

I’ve also discovered 20-minute meditation taper candles, which are perfect for an ADHDer like me.

Not sure what is available to you. You do not need a flame. You can use whatever represents fire to you. A piece of Gold (jewelry), a yellow flower, even a mirror (to reflect the flame of the sun).

This is the assorted colors bag I found, but they also have single colors available. I don’t have a special holder. After lighting the candle, I drip a little bit of the melted wax onto the dish and press the base of the candle onto it. It is enough to hold them up. Try resale shops. Also, I have bought birthday candles from dollar stores, cheapest.
But those are only for meditation, as are tea lights. I don’t use either for candle spells,
for that only large candles that can burn for at least an hour. Not in glass or metal jars!

I see “chime candles” referred to for spells. Is that what you mean?

I’m wondering if this is chime candles? Also I’ve seen conflicting information about never snuff them out and you have to let it burn all the way down on its own and the spell is not done until then. I don’t have four hours for a chime candle typically especially since I can’t leave it unattended.

No, these are cylindrical pillar candles 2 inch diameter three inch tall. From the dollar store.
They can be snuffed but NOT blown out. Use a shot glass, etc. Use LED candles for long
term lights, but there’s more for decoration and atmosphere than spell work.
