Wow, Thank-you Wren,:open_mouth:, everyone tells me to be quiet, but, truth is the truth and past is the past, I can’t change it, I can only hope to learn something, but either way, I have to move forward. Why have any issues or animosity when things change. You know the saying, the only constant is change itself. So, gotta move forward.

Thank-you for listening. I realized this has worked for me as a sounding board. Even though I live in the city, Las Vegas, Nevada, I really have no one whom I am able to confide in. What is really weird is what they always say, it’s easier to spill your guts on the internet, then in person, but I don’t have any persons here to confide in.

Terrific Tuesday Tarot Talkers,

I pulled 3 cards and it actually fit all three quite cleanly and clearly.

2 Cups-relationship (my marriage)

Knight of Pentacles-dependability

5 Hierophant-societal rules

I need to decide if this marriage works for me (self), and am I able to depend (pentacles) on this marriage (the central idea of a partnership, dependability), and how much does the view of societal rules (institutions) need I really worry about?

So, wow, this was exactly, positively, to-the-point of the conclusions I have been reaching this past week.

And, as Moonbeam mentioned my sharing…hey, I don’t mind at all, thank y’all for listening to this. Y’all have been my sounding board and looking back, I am able to see the growth I have made this year.

I forgot where I posted it, but my growth this year has been following the Wheel.

Ostara, I started to emerge from my cocoon as the butterfly and came to new life.

Summer came, and I am maturing, I feel myself moving on already.

Lammas, the first harvest, seems to be the first harvest of the new me.

To continue with the Knights.

Since Pages represent the beginnings of their suits, such as the child-like stages, that means that the Knights are the teens/young adults with the energy that encompasses that.

Knight of Swords–inquisitive–ambition, fast-thinking, detail oriented (Air–Mind/Intellect)

Knight of Wands–energy–adventure, fearless, self-confident (Fire–Action)

Knight of Cups–charm–romance, sensitivity, knight-in-shining-armor (Water–Emotion)

Knight of Pentacles–dependability–hard-work, responsible (Earth–Tangibles)

Just for fun, how about a question with a Knight?

Where will I be able to find truth today?
Knight of Wands–energy, adventure, fearlessness, self confidence.

The truth will be found as I remain fearless and move forward with energy and not hesitation today.

Witchy Wednesday, (though Tuesday night :melting_face:)

For Wednesday, we will tackle the Queens.

Let me start by saying that with the Queens and Kings many are interpretations related to gender. Queens being mother (think nurturing, caring…grandma) and King are considered the Alpha male. He sees the whole whatever. I tend to think of Kings as CEO.

This is in NOOOO means gender specific. Think of Queens as the mother/nurturing aspect and Kings the Daddy Knows Best, type attitude.

That said, let us work with the Queens.

Queen of Swords (Air-Mind/Intellect)–perceptive–unbiased judgement, direct communication. She looks as if the sword may be between her eyes, indicating that she is not biased in how she is looking at things. Yes, she has her hand out as in invitation. So, that makes her judgments feel as if they are fair and that she sees everything equally.

Queen of Wands (Fire-Action)–confident–courageous, independent. This Queen (even though it looks like youthful man to me) has a sunflower next to the throne, I see it as glowing, strenght and confidence. She is willing to back up the actions needed to defend (action, FIRE) her position.

Queen of Cups (Water-Emotion)–nurture seems obvious, compassion, comfort, emotional stability

Queen of Pentacles (Earth-Tangibles)–this one I find hard to describe, she is comforting but in a physical way. I do not know a modern example, but Walton’s mother, Mrs. Cunninham on Happy Days, June Cleaver on Leave It to Beaver, Mrs. Carol Brady on Brady Buncg…think of your quintessential, perfect mother from TV, that is the Queen of Pentacles.

Witchy Wednesday Everyone,

July 15–Who should I help today? (a lending hand, a shoulder to lean on)

I decided on 1 card so as not to have confusion on who. Pulled 6 Cups, a nostalgic card, happy memories, familiarity, innocence.

Yep, my nephew. I do not know what will happen, but I guess he is the one who will need support today.

[why him? he is naive, living with us, first time on his own and in a different country, whatever will happen I need to make sure that he has happy memories of the time here…he is soooooo innocent, even though he is 27—don’t know the politically correct word…slow, retarded, downs, but not quite that bad…but…he did not know how to serve himself dinner :scream: …so husband and this…not fun!!!]

Just venting all, you’re my sounding board to be able to see what is going on.

Thoughtful Thursday,

To finish up the cards the Kings are next. I like to think of the Kings as the Head of the Department, their suit.

King of Swords–Air, Intellect/Mind–logical I use the most, head over heart, clarity, truth, discipline of the mind.

King of Wands–Fire, Action–Big Picture, I see him as the director seeing all the action, other words, focused, leader, overcoming challenges.

King of Cups–Water, Emotion–charisma–I use this word because it encompasses the other keywords given, such as, emotionally balanced, control, empathy.

King of Pentacles–Earth, Tangibles–CEO–he runs the whole company, other keywords are leadership, security, discipline, abundance.

The tarot question for today, Thursday the 16–How can I stay grounded today?

I think a 1 card pull is good today. The 8 of Cups. Interesting, we see the man making a conscious decision to go forward. To stay grounded, I need to realize that disappointment and moving on are sometimes necessary. There is water ahead, signifying life, with the moon having a calm presence. Today won’t be so bad. Just take it one step at a time.

I love the next card I will draw. I am sure that I win in advance. I have never gambled and I never will. That is why I always win. I offer humble requests to God Dagda the Good God who is also the God of the Game. I love this Game of the Gods.

I am glad this worked out. I was not sure if I was able to make sense and/or have any participation. Thank-you so much Wren for helping me to get this off the ground. I think this is the third time I have tried this year to get a Tarot thread going.
I will go ahead and continue with this.

Again, thank-you. I am thinking of going into 1-card pulls. I’m off to Thursday Free Bingo at Arizona Charlie’s and errands (bus, takes forever), so I will probably be “device-free” for about the next 6 hours or so.

So, what relationship is this?

In light of the last week of “enlightenment” the relationship is with myself. I need to walk-away from what has held me back and learn to listen to myself and my needs. The relationship? Scintillating Saturday Sorcerers,

Tarot today,

Saturday, July 18–This day is for pets, so the question is: What is my pet thinking? No Pet? Create your own question for today.

I thought this would be a fun question to play with.

I have a 6-year-old red American Pit Bully, she’s about 55lbs of hell on 4 feet.:rofl: She very, very well behaved, but extremely strong. Playing tug-of-war with her, wipes me out, in about 5 minutes.

Again, I decided for a 1-card pull.

Ace of Wands–beginning of action

This sounds pretty easy. Bow is thinking of running with her buddies at the dog park!!

We have a huge dog park out here and she runs with a group of about 5 or 6 dogs in the mornings, up and down the fences they go, and go, and go, and go. She absolutely loves that park! She smells it about 4 blocks away and becomes very, very attentive. So, this card makes sense.:wink:

3 Wands–expansion

I like to read the three cards as a sentence, left to right.

I need to think (king swords) before I react and make sure I realize what the long-term ramifications (7 pentacles) may be in regards as to how to move forward (expansion).

That was the closest to the card meaning I can get…basically saying this,

Be sure to think things through and study what the consequences may be before I make a move forward.

Well, this is early so that I can work on the questions for next week. Have a great Saturday and Sunday.

Sensational Sunday Tarot Talkers, Part 2

If you feel hesitant to start pulling cards; here are some very easy spreads to get started.

1-Card Spread is good for a yes/no or true/false. It may also be used to answer the whole question. Here is an example-and I’m doing it right now as I’m doing this here.

  • Question for Monday-How am I shining light in the world? 8 of Wands–this card is in the suit of action-Wands. The iconography on the card are staves appearing to be aiming downwards, I see them as arrows honing in on their mark. So my read, for how am I shining light in the world? Answer-By being an example of speed, action, and movement. I will not just be an observer in life but a participant. So, my light in the world, is giving encouragement to others to start acting on their wishes.

2-Cards are good for choices, such as: obstacle, and advice (to work through it), or what needs to be attended to and what needs to be let go.

  • to continue with the question and card pulled, I will pull a second card to read this question with 2 cards–now I have added 10 Pentacles–suite of tangibles, things. I am shining a light by-My family and the life that I have built, I will fiercely protect. The light in this case, is that my family feels secure knowing that I will always be there to defend them.

3-Cards are read 2 different ways, the usual pull is laid in this sequence 2-1-3.

  • The first card pulled is in the middle, second card on the left, and third card on the right. It is read as card 1 the theme of the pull with the 2 and 3 being modifiers. I prefer to read the cards as a sentence left-to-right, so I lay them in order 1-2-3. Continuing with the question and a 3 card answer, let me pull another–3 Empress, divine feminine, nurture, growth. Now for the question with these 3 cards;
  • 8 Wands–decisive action, forward movement
  • 10 Pentacles–legacy, what I have built
  • 3 Empress-divine feminine, nurture, growth, abundance
  • How am I shining light in the world?—-My decisive actions that I have taken have resulted in an abundance and lack of want at home, family life, and the Empress at the end tells me that I have done well in raising my family.

There are many, many different lay-outs, and you will find different ways to use the spreads for differing questions. I prefer a 5, 6, or 7 card spread when I need a little depth to a question. Some books argue that larger spreads are easier, as it gives you more information. I actually do not like spreads much larger than the 6 or 7, because I do not feel that more cards are narrowing down the choices, but rather, creating more obstacles that may arise.

Here are some other 3-card spread “topics”

  • Want----Need—Obstacle
  • Past—Present—Future. This one is usually good for just the day, not a week or month.
  • Querent—Other—Situation. This is good for relationships, person 1, person 2 and what is the issue.
  • What has Changed—What is the Same—What to Look For
  • Release—Keep—Welcome anew
  • What is my mind focusing on—Where/What to find support—How to remain calm.

This is just a small helping of what you can do with the cards. Feel free to explore what works for you.
