I’ve never used the tarot and I frequently read the posts here to better familiarize myself with the use of divination decks. I have rune stones and an oracle deck that I read infrequently and this thread inspires me to do more exploration.

So, thank you, Lady Gene, for the interpretation of your readings! I’m learning! (Even old gals can learn new skills… Hehehehe!)

Ooh I might join in on the August ones. And thanks for the warm welcome hehe :hugs:

Sensational September, it is starting to cool here, only 80 degrees this a.m. at 6o’clock.

google images Tarot today - What part of myself has transformed this year?

energy

Yes, this makes sense, since “waking-up” from my coma, I have not been so lethargic, energy has definitely returned to my life.

Witchy Wednesday Wonders,

Google images- tarot today - Where will I find balance this month?

abundance/discipline/perseverance/fruits-of-labor

I really had to think hard on this one. How does abundance show balance?

The only thing I could come up with, is that abundance of what I have (not a whole lot, not rich, but not wanting), and the perseverance I have had throughout my life, will finally reach a balance. Really? In what way?

Well, that’s all I could come up with.

I missed a couple days I fear, it has been… a week. But in good news my mama bought me a deck! It’s the borderless Smith-Waite deck but it’s in this leacher pouch that was made locally and it’s so beautiful.

  1. What part of myself has transformed this year?

Two of Pentacles: I’ve been getting better at the balancing act, for better or for worse. I’ve developed skills of multitasking, however I should pay attention to just how many responsibilities I’m carrying, and to do so carefully.

  1. How/Where will I find balance this month?

The… Two of Pentacles again lol: I’ll find balance by setting my priorities straight and paying attention to how I’m balancing things. It won’t necessarily be about finding a new balance, rather it’ll be about refining the balance I’m already working at.

  1. What new habit will support my spiritual growth?

Ace of Pentacles: Seizing my opportunities and manifestation. It could also represent a commitment to the spiritual journey, but in terms of habits I believe it represents taking up the opportunities that are handed to me.

Wow Wednesday Theni :wing:,

Wow, the suit of Pentacles is trying to get your attention. Make sure you are grounding yourself to be ready. (Because Pentacles represents the Earth element). I like your reads

Thoughtful Thursday Tarot Talkers,

Google Images-Tarot today -

NOT apathy nor meditation

difficult decision

NOT quick-action nor haste

This is answering the question with the mind and thoughts, and feelings/emotions. Using a mod/sub/mod, I came up with this.

What new habit will support my spiritual growth?

In making decisions (2 swords) that will be coming my way, I need to weigh the decision carefully by really examining it deeply (4 cups^) and not making decisions too quickly (kn. swords ^).

Well, pretty straight-forward.

Seven of Cups: I need to let go of past opportunities and choices and focus on the ones in the present and future. I first understood this as pertaining to friendships and relationships but there’s other things I’ve given up that it could refer to as well. Like I missed an opportunity to do an internship kinda thing at my local library because I didn’t realise it was an option but also because I didn’t realsie it was an interest of mine at the time. And yeah that makes sense.

Fabulous Friday Folks,

Google Images and tarot today -

intuition, subconscious, morality

Wow, I do not know how to interpret this. Let go of intuition, morality? I just don’t get it.

Any interpretations are welcome.

Lady Gene :hugs:

Hmm… could it mean letting go of a particular moral value that’s holding you back?

I’m not in the United States, but I’ll join in for the fun of it because I do love pizza (I named myself after Elliot from Roblox Work at a Pizza Place).

Reverse Ten of Cups: Okay this was a weird one. The Reverse Ten of Cups represents unhappy home life and family relationships, however obviously there isn’t much joy in that. But the first idea that came to mind was to just be joyful despite that just like I was as a child (family life has been tense my whole life). This is definitely one I’m curious for other people’s understandings.

Super Saturday Theni :wing:,

That is a difficult card for the question, that is for sure!

harmonious relationship

As the opposite of contentment, how to make it possible for childish joy?

Reaching for reconciliation, and/or realignment, to find a childish joy.

This might be the possibility.

Super Saturday Special Sorcerers,

Google images - tarot today–Where should I look for childish joy today?

community, joy, friendship

Cups are the suit of emotions, 3 is the number for harmony.

This seems pretty obvious. I will find my childish joy by celebrating with my “tribe”, “peeps”, “homies”…(I don’t know the current phrase.)

Super Sunday,

Google images, Tarot Talk -Who has taught me the most in my life?

Well, the first card did not make sense, nor the second, nor the third. So, to stop making the cards say what I thought I wanted to hear. I went back to the first card, and had to really think. I was looking for a positive influence…but…

obsession with control, stubbornness, rigidity

So, this turns out to be the husband in my life. The King of Pentacles represents materialism and social standing, among others, and the reversed definitions came from a couple different AI sites. I wanted to make sure that I had a complete understanding of what I was thinking.

Simple answer…who has taught me the most? My husband. But this is what I learned.

My husband is so pre-occupied with appearances that he does not look at people; only the move for the situation. The beginning of our marriage (31 yrs ago), I thought he was diligent and disciplined (we both had 2 kids from a previous marriage and were raising them on our own). What I have found out is that he is only motivated by “what looks right” (the Jones’). I have learned much about materialism, something that never mattered much to me…food, roof, clothes…okay, let’s enjoy life. I have never wanted nor needed stuff, hence why my alter and accoutrements are very minimal.

This makes me think of many verses in Proverbs…21:19, 27:15, change the woman pronoun to man, and that is the story of my marriage…but this is the one that really popped into my mind…

Proverbs 25:24: “It is better to dwell in a corner of a housetop than with a brawling woman in a wide house” ----again, male, not female…the bible is so patrilineal, that the female is always portrayed as the problem.

So, this is the eye-opener instead of coffee this morning.

Magickal Monday Merry Mavens,

A little early since tomorrow is a holiday here in the USA.

Google Images-Tarot today -

pleasant surprise, emotionally expressive

Well, I’m going to bingo today for the holiday so–I will honor the workers I meet today by thanking them for all their work and attention they have provided for me; especially today for them having to work on “their” day. (that is expressing my emotions to them, and hopefully it will be a pleasant surprise)

Gosh I missed a couple days lol I’ve been cracking down on uni work I fear.

I’m not sure that my interpretation is what I’m being told for this one, but my understanding is

Reverse Six of Swords: My ex-girlfriend who taught me the value of truth and honesty in relationships. That’s the biggest thing that I took from that relationship was how much I appreciated her being honest with me that she was interested in someone else. The way I interpreted this was based on the keyword of confession. There were a few confessions in that relationship which I appreciated having confessed. And particularly recently I think I needed to be reminded of that value as I reach some turmoil with a current friend.

Again, not based in the United States, but I do appreciate the workers around me and I think it’s something that should be done any day.

Reverse Queen of Swords: Okay well what the frick is that supposed to mean lol. My first idea was to undo the potential biases and bigotry I’ve internalised but I’m not entirely sure. I’m curious for different interpretations to this card because I’m not entirely sure, although that is good advice.

Merry Monday Morning, Theni :wing:,

Interesting pulls. The only advice I have from sitting over here, is something must be going on with your mind, maybe having troubles reaching conclusions, who can be sure. However, the swords are the intellectual/mind/thought suite. Both being reversed is suggesting to me, that there may be some kind of blockage with the thoughts in these areas. This is just where it looks like it is pointing to, to me.
