:joy::grin: I know and it’s always when you have something important to do too! It seems lately your tarot readings have leaned toward treating yourself lately which is important:smiling_face::sparkles: when my readings lean toward treating yourself I buy myself a sweat treat and watch a movie with my dog (sorry random celebrate yourself however) anyways

Merry Monday Morning, (see above)

I hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready to pick up and start the week.

To pick up where I left off, I will look at the 7’s and 8’s.

Seven in my book gives the number 7 as predicament, but I assigned that scenario to the 5’s as obstacle, so instead I prefer purpose as I look as these cards.

7 Swords-what is the purpose of looking over the shoulder and tip-toeing away with the weapons? I see the picture as purposeful deception.

7 Wands-the purpose here seems obvious, it looks like defense.

7 Cups-what is the purpose of the emotions of seeing choices/decisions/opportunities in the clouds? I see this as illusion. The purpose here is looking at the illusion. It may be an eye-opener, something that you were deceiving yourself about. It may be joyful as in day-dreaming or wishful thinking.

7 Pentacles-the purpose looking at your tangibles, I see as contemplating, whether it be your next move, or if you made a correct decision. The purpose is to reflect on your tangibles around you.

On to number 8, the Discipline number.

8 Swords-the character is blind-folded, bound, and has swords behind her, as if a corral or wall is there. So, how is this discipline you ask? Well, this card is about negative thoughts (mind/air/swords), self-imposed restriction (very similar to 15 The Devil), victim mentality. The discipline here is to show that the mind is in a bad place and it takes discipline to take yourself out of the hole you put yourself into.

8 Wands-many keywords have to do with speed/swiftness. I think of military discipline.

8 Cups-cups are the emotion/feeling suit. This person has the discipline to make a conscious decision to walk-away, after disappointment, abandonment. Other keywords are leaving behind and walking away, which still is discipline to let go and move on.

8 Pentacles-the iconography is a person intent on their trade. Definite discipline here, you can see it in the picture. This is discipline and diligence in the creation of the product. Diligence is my main word for this card. Also good are high-standards, mastery, and skill development.

Well, I’m gonna turn in, I have an early day tomorrow, but I will check in hopefully around noon my time, PST (Nevada and California are on the same time zone)

Thankful, Thoughtful Thursday,

Thank-you all for the thoughts. Thank-you for understanding. It seems that everytime I try to get more involved something happens (I’m starting to think it is a spiritual attack). Well, they are not gonna win. I will work on next weeks questions later this week. I will go ahead and answer this weeks questions, but I think I will take a mini-break for the “interpretations” of the cards.

Question for today-- Is there something I have neglected?

Q Wands–courage, confidence, independence;

9 Swords–anxiety;

Knight Swords–defending beliefs.

Well, this ties into what I think is going on here at the home.

I need to spend more time on myself!!! My independence needs to reassert itself so that the anxiety will be able to go away; however, it is necessary to defend my beliefs (my sanity).

Fantastic Friday,

Tarot for today - Am I heading in the right direction?

3 Wands-expansion

5 Heirophant- society rules, forgiveness?

4 Wands- home, joy

Well, this is totally opposite of what Lenormand said this morning.

These cards are saying the “right direction” is-look towards expanding (3 Wands) (my direction?, my view of the home?), forgiveness of my husband? (5 Heirophant) or do I expand on societies rules and stay in this marriage? either way it is staying put (NOT what Lenormand told me) and this home (4 Wands) will eventually have joy again.

After the last 3 years of me being “awake” and the last decade of my coma and looking back on what happened. I really do NOT think this will be possible. The youngest is grown (30yrs) and married (waiting on the VISA for her to come from India…he’s been waiting 6 years, when COVID closed everything in Feb on 2020, he already had an airticket to India to get married). Anyway, no need to stay together “for the family”. Husband has spent our entire marriage (30years) trying to keep me away from his family. You know the saying, hindsight. Yeah, I saw warning signs 28-29 years ago, and did not see it for what it was (I actually believed what my husband told me about his mother, but it turns out it was really my husband all along.) I never thought I was an abused woman, but mental abuse is the same thing!!

I have been doing much thinking, and have reached some decisions.

I will catch up for the days I missed and am working on next week.

Lady Gene :dragon:

Fantastic Friday Friends of the Fae,

Sorry for the break. Thank-you all for understanding.

We will finish up the numbers with 9 (fulfillment) and 10 (culmination). Some books call 10 the realization, but I like culmination better, because it represents the end/culmination of the cards in that suit.

So, to go on

Number 9 for Fulfillment

9 Swords- The person is sitting up grabbing their head, looks like a bad dream. This card represents anxiety of the mind. Includes, depression, anxiety, fear, worry, nightmares, trauma, despair, hopelessness. I do not know how this is fulfillment unless the person is coming to final conclusions.

9 Wands- keyword given are tenacity, stamina, obstinance. However, looking at the iconography, I see the person holding tightly to the wand, yet looking over his shoulder, with a little trepidation. If anyone knows Star Trek: The Next Generation, I think of this character a Paklid. They call themselves “nothing if not persistent” and that is how this looks to me.

9 Cups- This keyword is contentment, but I have a hard time with that, because he looks angry and as if he is guarding his possessions. So, I have to remember that the 10 is culmination, and that he is stable in his mind.

9 Pentacles-Luxury, Indulgence, and Pride (pride in a good way). The picture is someone walking in the garden, enjoying the view and gazing at a bird on the hand, with a glove. So, I assume this is a falcon? Falconry was a luxury that only the well-to-do could afford. So, luxury and indulgence ae how I see it.

Now on to the 10’s…Culmination

10 Swords- this looks painful like the 3 did through the heart. So how can this back-stabbing actual be a fulfillment. I see the fulfillment similar to the death card, a necessary step in order to move forward. The keywords given for this are painful endings, betrayal, loss, failure.

10 Wands- Burden, obviously, also hard-work as in a job well done. I see this as a completion of you labors, that you did well, your hard-work paid off.

10 Cups- This seems pretty clear, the emotions are culminating in a happy family life.

10 Pentacles-Like the last card, this culmination, is also the home, but whereas Cups are the emotions of the home Pentacles are the tangibles (what you have that you can physically touch) We see the couple gazing at each other, the patriarch in the foreground, two dogs at his feet, a child by the woman, a tower in the back (looks like stability to me, not to confuse with the Major Arcana Tower card which is destruction). Keywords for this card legacy, wealth, financial security, long-term success (which has been reached).

It looks as if I did not place the questions for the week at the top. My mistake. I will make a post of the weekly questions alone.

Loving Y’all, Lady Gene :people_hugging:

Super Saturday Sorcerers,

So sorry, I have been kinda out of it this week.

Question today, How should I self-care today?
I chose a 1-card pull. The 4 of Pentacles. This is one of my difficult cards. The meaning given for this one is security, saving and conservation; however, as I stated with my numbers 3 & 4, I see the 4 of Pentacles as a miser, and use this reading for it always, and that works for me. So self-care today with a miser card?

How does this help me in self-care? Greediness.

Took a while to figure this out, what I came up with was this:

In order to care for myself today I need to be greedy with MY time. That way, my focus is only on myself today.

This works out, because the project my son and I are working on, Saturday, is a “day off”.

 So I have the right to be selfish today?! Thank-you cosmos for the permission.

Lady Gene

I will load Sunday’s question here. Will post next-week questions later on, today.

Question for Tomorrow, Sunday, July 12, 2026. How or where can I find child-like freedom today?

Scintillating Saturday Sorcerers,

Here are the Questions for next week.

Monday, July 13–What blessing have I overlooked?

Tuesday, July 14–New Moon today in Leo, emphasis on self, central ideas or institutions. So the question is: Which of these aspects should I focus on today?

Wednesday, July 15–Who should I help today? (a lending hand, a shoulder to lean on)

Thursday, July 16–How can I stay grounded today?

Friday, July 17–What relationship needs my attention today?

Saturday, July 18–This day is for pets, so the question is: What is my pet thinking? NO Pet? Create your own question for today/

Sunday, July 19–Moon in Libra for cooperation, balance, partnership. Question is: How should I keep today in balance?

This should make things a little easier this week.

Catch y’all tomorrow for a read, and happy weekend all!!:national_park:

That’s exactly what I thought when you said “miser.” It must be reassuring to have a complete novice agree with your interpretation. You’re welcome!

Sensational Sunday Smilers,

Tarot Today–How/Where can I find child-like freedom today?

5 Hierophant–society rules

5 Swords–winning at all costs “Pyrrhic victory”

8 Pentacles–diligence, high standards

This looks very serious how does all this give me freedom? Easy.

To “find child-like freedom” I need to stop

  • worrying about the “rules” imposed on me by society (Hierophant)
  • not having to “win” anything, just drop it (Swords)
  • and drop any and all standards/expectations for today (Pentacles)

just roll with the day. Kinda like my dog, just laze around, do nothing, close my eyes, whatever for today.

Well, after this week, sounds wonderful!!!

You have such creative questions! I just always ask, “What do I need to know today,” which I am learning isn’t always about that specific day but just something I need to be aware of. I’m finding a three card pull more illuminating but also more opportunity for confusion.

Scintillating Sunday Jenny,

Sometimes I have issues with the cards. I find it easier to read 3 cards. Some people use a the cards in the format of: place card 1, then 2, then 3.

Themes for the 3 cards can be

  • past, present, future
  • antagonist, protagonist, advice
  • situation, obstacle, action to take
  • theme, what to embrace, what to avoid.

I really like that lay-out of the cards for the past, present and future.

However, for the other cards, I prefer looking at them like reading a book. Really, aren’t we doing a read of the cards? Then read them left to right.

I find reading them Left to Right causes less confusion. Do you have a beginner deck with keywords on the cards??? They are so helpful. I have a beginner deck and 3 other decks without the keywords. I use the beginner and my standard RWS deck without the keywords. I try the regular deck first, and if I get too confused, I go to my beginner deck, find the same cards, put them in the same lay-out, and them see how the keywords on the cards make sense. (If that made sense?)

Here’s an example:-----

The theme for today, what I should embrace and what I should avoid.

Theme- Knight of Wands–adventure, energy

Embrace-9 Hermit–introspection, solitude, truth seeking

Avoid-8 Cups–withdraw, disappointment, escapism (I find this card interesting because I see it as a voluntary withdrawal because of diappointment)

The theme for today, is my energy, my adventurous spirit. (I’m a Sagittarius, and Chinese Year of the Dragon, so this card, speaks to me.

What I need to embrace today, looks like I need to some soul-searching and truth within myself (things are tough here, I need to figure out what I am willing to tolerate, or need to change)

But I should avoid just throwing-my-hands-up and walking away.

So, the overall, L to R read comes out as.

I need to temper my energy today from external machinations (plots, or schemes) search within myself for what I am willing to hold onto and what I need to walk-away from.
You gave me a great idea for Friday; intro into 1, 2, and 3 card reads.

Thank-you!!:light_bulb:

Magickal Monday Mystery Mavens,

Posting this Sunday night, doctor stuff early in the morning:

Starting with the Pages. Pages are the impetus (the kick-in-the-butt)

Page of Swords–inquisitive–curiosity, new ideas, mental energy; see the iconography, he is holding his sword, but not threateningly, he is looking over his shoulder and his R foot is not firmly planted, he seems to be looking at something…inquisitive.

Page of Wands–enthusiasm–inspiration, exploration, excitement, he is the readying himself; he is the impetus for action.

Page of Cups–sensitive–dreamer, creative opportunities, new love; he is looking at the cup, representing emotions, a fish looks back? surprise? creative opportunity? There are waves behind him but in a soft, flowing motion.

Page of Pentacles–practical–financial manifestation, ambition, skill development, he is holding the coin, as if deciding where it goes.

Lady Gene :crystal_ball:

I will make another post, more information about the Court Cards, but it is a little more difficult. This is easier to start with.

Magickal Monday Mystery Mavens #2,

Court Cards also have a designation within their designation: This may sound confusing but follow along a minute.

Pages are the Grounders of their Suits (earth type aspects)—youth

Knights are the Actions of the Suits (fire types)—teens/young adult

Queens are the Emotions of the Suits (water types)—mothers/nurturers

Kings are left with the Mind/Intellect of the Suits (air types)–fathers/authority, CEO

So, to dig a little deeper into the Pages with this in mind. Here goes:

Page of Swords–grounding of the Air suit (mind/intellect), I see him having faith (grounding) in the decision to be made.

Page of Wands–grounding the suit of Wands (action/movement), as he looks at his wand he is grounding his thoughts, getting ready for the action to come.

Page of Cups–grounding with the suit of Cups (emotion), you are being allowed to feel your emotions

Page of Pentacles–grounding with Earth, ah, duh?, how do you ground with the ground? I see it as practicality, realizing what is in front of you, before you can move forward.

So, this is how I liken the different royalties as a “suit within a suit”.

Happy Studying, catch everyone later tomorrow.

Magickal Monday Merry Makers,

Question for today, Monday, July 13–What blessing have I overlooked?

8 Wands–movement, action, change

3 Empress–in this case, nurturing to/for my divine self

8 Cups–disappointment, intentionally walking away

Well, after this last week as the final catalyst, I have done much thinking and have come to many decisions, and this pull just proved it spot-on!!!

I have overlooked that in the last some months I made changes in my actions (8 Wands) and made a conscious move (8 Cups, intentional) to focus and nurture (3 Empress) my divine feminine self. This means waking-up (not just my coma, physically, but to the farce of my marriage) and accepting the disappointment (8 Cups) and being able to walk-away from what I expected and know there is something waiting for me across the river and other side of the mountain.

Lady Gene :phoenix:

Note: All the grief I have been going thru I have not been seeing correctly. Now that I see through the illusion of my life, and have accepted it, not only was my physical health check-up this morning the best I’ve had in decades. But I am actually a new person. I hope this does not sound corny…the first 30 years of my life was maiden stage (emotionally, I had kids at 17)…next 30 years was my mother stage…and here I am, changing again and entering my crone stage. Now, one question…does that mean I get another 30 years???
