Fantastic Friday Friends of the Fae,
Sorry for the break. Thank-you all for understanding.
We will finish up the numbers with 9 (fulfillment) and 10 (culmination). Some books call 10 the realization, but I like culmination better, because it represents the end/culmination of the cards in that suit.
So, to go on
Number 9 for Fulfillment
9 Swords- The person is sitting up grabbing their head, looks like a bad dream. This card represents anxiety of the mind. Includes, depression, anxiety, fear, worry, nightmares, trauma, despair, hopelessness. I do not know how this is fulfillment unless the person is coming to final conclusions.
9 Wands- keyword given are tenacity, stamina, obstinance. However, looking at the iconography, I see the person holding tightly to the wand, yet looking over his shoulder, with a little trepidation. If anyone knows Star Trek: The Next Generation, I think of this character a Paklid. They call themselves “nothing if not persistent” and that is how this looks to me.
9 Cups- This keyword is contentment, but I have a hard time with that, because he looks angry and as if he is guarding his possessions. So, I have to remember that the 10 is culmination, and that he is stable in his mind.
9 Pentacles-Luxury, Indulgence, and Pride (pride in a good way). The picture is someone walking in the garden, enjoying the view and gazing at a bird on the hand, with a glove. So, I assume this is a falcon? Falconry was a luxury that only the well-to-do could afford. So, luxury and indulgence ae how I see it.
Now on to the 10’s…Culmination
10 Swords- this looks painful like the 3 did through the heart. So how can this back-stabbing actual be a fulfillment. I see the fulfillment similar to the death card, a necessary step in order to move forward. The keywords given for this are painful endings, betrayal, loss, failure.
10 Wands- Burden, obviously, also hard-work as in a job well done. I see this as a completion of you labors, that you did well, your hard-work paid off.
10 Cups- This seems pretty clear, the emotions are culminating in a happy family life.
10 Pentacles-Like the last card, this culmination, is also the home, but whereas Cups are the emotions of the home Pentacles are the tangibles (what you have that you can physically touch) We see the couple gazing at each other, the patriarch in the foreground, two dogs at his feet, a child by the woman, a tower in the back (looks like stability to me, not to confuse with the Major Arcana Tower card which is destruction). Keywords for this card legacy, wealth, financial security, long-term success (which has been reached).
It looks as if I did not place the questions for the week at the top. My mistake. I will make a post of the weekly questions alone.
Loving Y’all, Lady Gene
