This is not a flattering comparison to be sure! They are not the brightest aliens in the galaxy, but they are manipulative. At least this is what a friend told me because I in no way I am a big Star Trek fan for my whole life. Absolutely not. Pfft.

It was Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 2, Episode 17–no, I’m not so much of a Trekkie that I have it memorized, I had to look it up.
My mom was a Trekkie with the original, Saturday afternoon 4pm, I always went outside; but Next Generation started in 1987—I fell in love with it!

Now, that is smart, to replace an obsession instead of just adding to the total. I don’t do that so Star Trek became Star Trek and Star Wars, became Star Trek, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings. I am a multifaceted geek!

I never was much for Sci-Fi. Star Wars in 1977, I saw 3 times when it came out. I only liked the original 2 Star Wars, and that was all until Star Trek: TNG (The Next Generation). But that was the end of my Sci-Fi fandom. I still don’t watch anything Sci-Fi, or SuperHero. Never seen a Lord of the Rings nor any Hogwart stuff, nor any superheros, Batman, Hulk, Spidey, none of 'em.
So, I’m not a geek, I’m just plain weird

Oh, I was a super star trek nerd. But the new stuff kinda sux. My fav tho is Babylon 5
with Firefly/Serenity being a close second. VERY believable technology in both is why.

Also have you seen they are working on new episodes? I believe it will be animated, however, most of the original cast will be voicing the characters.

I had a hard time with this…release…why should I let-go of these good qualities?
Then I figured it out, not let-go, more like let-loose, to use. Let go as in showing and using it not stifling it.
So, I came up with this. Mod/Subj/Mod
Whatever celebrations come up in the group, do not lose strength or courage. Use the strength and courage I have to bolster whatever celebration will be happening. I need to support and be the rock for whomever will need my encouragement today.

the weight piles on so incrementally that we don’t realize how much we end up carrying - until we decide it is okay to set it down!!!
i fought to keep my marriage from “failing” for so long. i never allowed the alternative to be an option in my mind or heart! but the consistent lack of effort on my ex’s part eventually left me with zero other options…not if i was ever going to preserve myself or my children. the very second that i finally let the thought in, “what if i were to just be done with my marriage,” THE WEIGHT IMMEDIATELY LIFTED AND I COULD BREATHE! i hadn’t known just how heavy it all had become over the years!
our minds lie to us all of the time to make life bearable, but our bodies tend to tell the truth. the fact that i’d had such an instant and intense physical reaction to a mere thought, there was no ignoring a Truth like that. i wasn’t “giving up” - i was letting go to save myself.
it sounds like you’ve reached that point as well and i hope for you the same release, peace, and clarity that came to me. it’s wonderfully selfless and kind of you to stay put while the Visa process is getting sorted. that can not be easy! hang in there, Lady!

My last reply was regarding your reading, it seemed like you weren’t sure so I thought I’d add my interpretation, and add to the tarot conversation.

(It’s true that we didn’t have a general topic like Cauldron Conversations here for a while too, that often leads to this kind of thing. I’m glad we have a new one again!)

no problems my lovlies…I was using this post for basic tarot and divination…including oracle cards, runes, pendulums…I just use the tarot prompt for that, a prompt to start a conversation related to tarot or divination or any type.
So thrilled that everyone is using this to open up…that is why I added Cauldron Conversations…to talk about what-the-he**, without having to open a new thread for each “idea” or “topic”.
So, please all, take this to Cauldron Conversations, where I will renew it each month, just like Tarot Talks, so it will not become too long.

Tarot today - How can I (or they) overcome co-dependence?

reversed–personal beliefs/freedoms hope/renewal transformation/transition
I thought this would be an interesting question. I have never considered myself, nor anyone I have known as being a co-dependent person. This is the answer I have come up with for these cards and this question.
With the Hierophant reversed, it is telling me the person should listen to what their inner-beliefs are, and see if the situation is aligned with that. Then maintain their hope and courage by allowing an end to what is happening to allow for a new situation to arise.
This sounds too trite, but I cannot really read it any other way. This is what I would tell myself, but it is always so much easier to “talk” than to “walk”. So, I am not really sure if this is the proper read for this situation.
Any and all comments are welcome for this one.
