Nice to meet you as well. I’m a Norse Witch and I too live in North Carolina.
Nice to meet you. I am a Norse Witch in the states. I enjoy learning about other paths!
Wonderful! What part? I’m on the coast.
I’m about 1 hour south of Charlotte. I grew up on Long Island and miss the ocean so much!
Hello! Very new. Love to learn!
I am best described as a traditional witch, working with the spirit world, my ancestors, moon cycles, menstrual cycle, herbs, and runes. My ancestral roots are traced back to the ring of the North Sea, and so I tend to incorporate elements of Celtic folk traditions and Norse paganism into my solo practice. I celebrate the wheel of the year and try to use my practice to be mindful in the present while respecting the passage of time. As a child, I was able to commune with the land spirits and then lost the gift (or ignored it) for many years. I began meaningfully practicing again in 2018. Currently, I am focusing my studies on runes, prehistoric sites, and Elen of the Ways. I look forward to connecting with you!
Hi. My name is Dori.
Im new to this life-style.
I’m in awe of all the magick thats been around to my naked eye! I HAVE been so blinded, and just now, am beginning to see it.
Anywho, I guess I’m considered a baby witch. Im reading, learning and practicing all I can.
Im interested in a particular subject.
Hair Growth. Naturally of course.
Im losing my hair on my head.
I strongly believe its a energetic/spiritual problem causing my hair loss.
Any hair growth spells I can practice to help my journey?
Hello Dori,
Very pleased to meet you. I’m sorry to hear you’re having hair issues. There are herbs and spices that help stimulate the scalp. I know it can be very distressing to lose your hair, whether that’s a result of stress, medication or hereditary. I suspect that any spell casting might be more effective directed at the cause rather than the symptom.
Best wishes x
hi Dori, nice to meet you.
I know there are herbs in Chinese medicine that help stimulate hair growth.
Maybe find a TCM practitioner in your town. Often Chinese doctors work with the whole person, taking into account also emotional issues.
But, as others said, intention is crucial to magic.
I would also suggest visualise yourself daily (in meditation, if you meditate) with a full head of hair, the way you want it to look like once you grow it back! Best wishes
I am a solitary practitioner. I started practicing because I wasn’t satisfied with the religion I grew up with. I looked into myself and decided that Paganism fit the closest to what my internal beliefs are. My main interests are divination and candle magic. I read with The Goddess Oracle. I have been honing my skills for 20+ years now. My first experience with magic was a candle ritual. Ever since then candles have played a prominent part in my craft. I’m looking forward to learning more from fellow practitioners. Never stop growing
Hi Dori!
I’m a cosmetologist/barber so I sympathize with your frustration over hair loss. My advice would be to do a scalp massage for a few minutes each day (easily done in the shower). Be sure to use the pads of your fingers, not the nails so you don’t scratch your scalp, or you can get a soft silicone brush scrubbie thing that works great too. Shampoo your hair twice too - first shampoo breaks up any buildup or residue on your scalp, while the second shampoo cleanses. Sometimes the hair follicles can get clogged which inhibits growth. Rosemary shampoo is good in moderation because it can be very stripping and drying to the hair (a hydrating or moisturizing shampoo/conditioner is a good option). Other than that, be gentle with your scalp and avoid excess heat or pulling/tension. Hair follicles feed off of blood supply in the scalp; so stimulating to get the blood flowing can really help, paying attention to nutrition, and drinking water. Hair on average grows a half inch per month, so be patient, and get regular trims to help with any crispy or split ends.
Hope that helps
Merry Meet, Helene!! The best thing about being a pagan/witch, is that I get to choose my path. So if I don’t agree with one aspect of something but I like something else, I can choose what to keep and to discard. Life is all about learning, and that is why we’re here in this life, to make our best path and to pick up what we need along the way.
Blessings!
Blessings! Sometimes it’s all about what you dare and don’t dare and what you have the strength to do. I think I am looking for encouragement and you picked the best of days to bless me, needed that today.
Merry Meet Julzz! I too live in the PNW. I’m in the Willamette Valley as a matter of fact. Nice to meet you not so close neighbor lol
Hi Sara
Thanks fir introducing yourself. I’m Julie, I live alone with my dog and two cats. We live about 18 miles inland from the beach. I spend time with friends family, my fur babies and my plants.
Right now I’m gardening, gearing up for medicine making time.
I’m a very eclectic person even in my magical practice. I had a wonderful full moon ritual with friends recently and I’m looking forward to the next one. I’ve been reading tarot for about a year.
I’m a long time herbalist and I truly enjoy making medicine and beauty products at home.
I have 5 grown children and 2 grandsons. I can’t think of what else to share. Thanks for reaching out and I look forward to getting to know you.
Julie
It sounds like you have a wonderful green thumb. Unfortunately both my thumbs are black lol.
I have a black cat and an orange dog. Both are my babies. My 2 kids are both married and out of the house. As a matter of fact I’m about to be a first time grandma. My granddaughter will be born under the Leo Sun Sign. I’m super excited!
Maybe you could give me some tips about plants? Like what are good starter plants? Best ways to transplant into new pots? Stuff like that
Congratulations on becoming a first time Grandmother! There’s nothing like it!
Yes, I do have a green thumb…
I think anyone can grow Pothos varieties or Philodendron varieties. Both are beautiful and require very little maintenance. Water them once a week and tell them they’re beautiful and they’ll do great. And Rosemary and Lavender planted somewhere by your entryway are great for protection and keeping negative vibes out of your home.
And as a bonus, you can make so many wonderful health and beauty products with both plants.
What are your hobbies? I have a few! Lol. My biggest dream has always been to be a published author… now that I’m older and life has slowed down I think I may focus more on this and see what happens.
I wish you a peaceful and joyful weekend!
Julzz
Thank you for the recommendations. Im going to do a little research on both before I buy. I dont want to destroy another living organism, if i can help it.
I like reading and working with plastic canvas. I am a huge lover of music as well.
I have bad eyesight so i’m limited for some activities. I even have a cat’s eye prosthetic for my left eye lol. Got to have fun and keep a positive outlook on bad situations right?
Have an awesome weekend
I am Raphael Casa, a humble reader of the Tarot. My purpose is to help seekers find their truth by helping them interpret signs and symbols through the structure of the Tarot - along with some aspects of astrology. I have been doing this for over 40 years…44 years actually. I have been following the Pagan Grimoire for a short while and find everyone here quite wonderful in their own ways. Again…I am a reader…so I try not to assert my personal views…I only point to signs based on old meanings. Blessed Be.
