New guy here, I’ll keep this short. I am a Shaman. So, what am I doing here? I’m not an Indigenous type Shaman, I’m much more the male version of a Hedge Witch. Been so for about a year, but not the place for backstory. I am in a local Coven, not the Inner Circle to be sure, but they accept me. But it’s a very small group. I’m on Facebook, but as a Smurf; I hate it, but there to learn only. Seeking interaction, and more learning. I have a Familiar, but again not the place for backstory. Considered joining spaces like ReligiousForums, but was there years ago, I assume it’s still toxic, but I still prefer traditional forums like that. So, I google Witch Forums and now here I am. Ask me anything.

For us older folk here… what is a smurf? And i don’t mean those little blue things with white hats.
It’s means it’s an account without my real name. It’s common for when you want to read only, and not participate. Think like Auditing a class. I make ZERO posts on Facebook, indeed I only join private groups.

I’m also old, but been in tech my whole life. I look more like Gandalf than a smurf. Graybeard.

Yes, you will have many people to reach out to here. I do not use social media, this is as social as I get on the computer. Yes, I have a social life here in Vegas. I just don’t do the computer (hiding from someone, have been since 2001, long story don’t even ask). I have tried covens here in Vegas, I started with Inner Circle Sanctuary, but felt a little stifled by all the “rules” they had. (They wanted to “test” me each month on a chapter in a book….no creativity here). So, anyway, I found some groups also. ( Not to toot anyones horn, so I will not name the other sites here. ) However, you have found a great place to start.
