Righteous woman clothed in radiance, beloved of heaven and earth . Resplendent light ; thy brightness is pure and illustrious like lapis lazuli! filled with radiance is the divine womb of the Ishtar! house full of beauties, filled with rare and great goodness: through her the firmament is made beautiful in the evening; weariness and pains are dispelled! With a generous hand, she provided me with intelligence and wisdom! The lady who speaks thunders to the evil : who makes purified as the whitest of things -refreshed in purity like the bright of the Sun -who goes against the enemies of the land!

Lady of all powers, In whom light appears, Radiant one Beloved of Heaven and Earth, Tiara-crowned Priestess of the Highest God. My Lady, you are the guardian Of all greatness. Your hand holds the seven powers: You lift the powers of being, You have hung them over your finger, You have gathered the many powers, You have clasped them now Like necklaces onto your breast.
In lips she is sweet; life is in her mouth.At her appearance rejoicing becomes full. She is glorious; veils are thrown over her head.Her figure is beautiful; her eyes are brilliant. The goddess - with her there is counsel.The fate of everything she holds in her hand. At her glance there is created joy, Power, magnificence, the protecting deity and guardian spirit.
No one can lay a hand on your precious divine powers… You exercise full ladyship over heaven and earth; you hold everything in your hand. Mistress, you are magnificent, no one can walk before you. You dwell with the great God in the holy resting-place. Which god is like you in heaven and earth? You are magnificent, your name is praised, you alone are magnificent!
To run, to escape, to quiet and to pacify are yours, To rove around, to rush, to rise up, to fall down and to span the horizon … these are yours. To open up roads and paths, a place of peace for the journey, a companion for the weak, are yours ; To keep paths and ways in good order, to shatter earth and to make it firm are yours. To destroy, to build up, to tear out and to settle are yours. To turn a man into a woman and a woman into a man are yours. Desirability and arousal, goods and property are yours. Gain, profit/result, great wealth and greater wealth are yours. Gaining wealth and having success in wealth, financial loss and reduced wealth are yours. Observation, choice, offering, inspection and approval are yours, . Assigning virility, dignity, guardian angels, protective deities and cult centres are yours.
To run, to race, to desire and to succeed are yours To interchange the brute and the strong and the weak and the powerless is yours ; To give the crown, the throne and the royal sceptre is yours; To diminish, to make great, to make low, to make broad, to make thin – these are yours … and to give a lavish supply are yours. To bestow the divine and royal rites, to carry out the appropriate instructions, slander, untruthful words, abuse, to speak inimically and to overstate are yours.
