Hi, does anyone have any tips on dowsing with a pendulum please? I feel very drawn to the practice but its new to me.

i all of my pendulums, but my favorite is very old quartz crystal pendulum. Pendulum are great and actually work to find clogged chakras, lost object and many other ways. Just use your imagination. My son is bad and losing things. He lost a bracelet once in our yard, about two acres. He was fantic about finding it. I am trying to teach him how to use a pendulum, but it is not working, but he discovered that Oracle cards worked for him, still working on it though. Anyway, I got a piece of paper, drew a picture of your housed and yard as well as I could. Slowly I swung the pendulum in it’s starting position and waited for a yes answer. Takes patience and a clear head, with a clear picture of the lost object in your mind. Slowly it started doing a clockwise circle, which was a yes answer for my pendulum, which I asked the pendulum was its yes and no response were. It started doing that circle as a huge oad tree in our yard. Sure enough it was there. I have several pendulum, i used for different things based on the stones the pendulum is made of and I have one that is my zodiac or birthstone. Pendulum can be practically anything as long there is something swinging on a string. I have known people to use a strand of their hair tied to their ring and one of their baby teeth as the pendulum. Sounds kind of crazy but it works for them. Some of use don’t have hair to spare though. Some pendulum are very expensive and other are cheap, doesn’t matter. It depends on what is drawn to you. Today the way prices are, they can be crazy high. I used a pendulum board also. A clear head and a bond with your pendulum, then you are on your way to be a pendulum master. Tarot is my favorite divinatory method, but I even use a pendulum to make sure my Tarot does not need a cleansing. I am 63 years old now and I have tried a lot of different ways to predict the future and ways to find object, from throwing bones to using copper rods. One of the biggest mistakes I have ever seen is people to have no focus on what they are doing. You have to have a connection with your higher self in order for things to work. I am ranting on, like I am forgetting what I am doing typing because one of my cats are whining about getting breakfast. Don’t forget, when and if you buy a pendulum, cleanse it, make it personal. I even suggest giving your pendulum a name, like many do their wands and staves. I even have pendulum decided to my Lord and Lady, depending on the stone that represents both of them. There are TONS of things you can do. Find out, what your metal is based on your sun sign. You can get really complex, like other says. Libra, ruling planet is Venus and copper is the metal, but being a beginner, you just may want to make it simple. I can get long-winded as you can see. I just love this stuff.
