My name is Jackie, I am not exactly new to this but I am if that makes any sense. My journey started about 4 years ago, my sister (who has always been into the craft) was at my house and we went in my room and I have a walk in closet and she said some “THING” is in your closet. I of course saw nothing but knew what she meant and asked her about it and what I should do. We went back to her place and she gave me a bunch of everyday items and said to bring these home and call her when I’m there. I did so, she walked me through a bunch of things I had never even heard of before and talked me through cleansing my home and it worked, I felt so much dread and anger, and confusion just disappear. I tried to learn more but my sister started acting weird after that, scary almost how fast she changed. She began to have an anger towards me and drew a wedge further and further between us to where I rarely talk to her now.
I’ve had several people comment on me saying they can feel my power and I have no idea what I have….well neither do I!?! I need guidance, I’ve tried to navigate on my own but I keep getting stuck. I got into Tarot and am shocked at how good I’ve become. I all the time see people in my peripherals and have at times been able to feel someone else’s pain to the point I took some of it and he felt physically better, that was not my intention at all, kinda scary! I don’t mind doing that if that is the case but would like to know I’m doing it first lol…
Anyways, I hope I don’t sound crazy and I hope this is a place where I can get some much needed guidance. I want to help my sister, She’s dark now, and cold. She’s never been that person ever. I love her and miss her so much.

I am sure you should be able to find a mentor or mentors, just depends on what exactly you are hoping to learn.
Different people tend to be stronger if different areas of the craft.
Your “gift” sounds wonderful, however; the episode with your sister is a little disturbing. I would suggest focusing on yourself/craft first. Since you seem to be an empath, by working on yourself first, you may be able to “read” what the issue is with your sister. “Seeing” things can be scary sometimes. I once had an “experience” in “seeing” things at a place once, that I had to leave IMMEDIATELY, and refused to return. (gruesome, terrifying visions of what took place in that building). Work on your gift, practice, self and learning, then you will be of the strength and mind to face whatever is happening with your sister.
I had a very strong feeling that this is what you meant. People get envious when they see someone with a natural gift, and use it as reason to treat you badly.
I can relate to your other stories. Nothing you have said makes me think that what you are describing isn’t real. It’s a little scary, but I know it all too well, as someone who’s also had to live with their “gifts.”
It sounds counterintuitive, but having the gift requires much more work. Things won’t be so casual or easy as you might think. Understanding the metaphysical and supernatural sciences is a big deal. Learning grounding techniques (and doing them frequently) and learning to control your mind is also very important. You can do this by either finding a mentor, or by self-training…
I suggest reading into self-protection measures - for you and your home. It’s not just people who will notice your energy - spirits will be attracted to you as well, and it’s vital that you protect yourself.
