I have always found myself drawn to the sun, and more specifically, to Helios. It is hard to say right now what it is that draws me to him, but my senses seem to cloud with light when I read about him.
Should I pursue this? Does anyone here work with him? I would love to hear your insight.

I work with the sun, but as a woman, I work with Goddesses. I have tried different “ones” and have settled for Brigid in my practice. I would not know how to encourage you to follow Helios.
That said, I live in Vegas (since 1969), so I love the sun. I perform morning oblations at the sunrise, make sun water, and basically focus on the sun rather than the moon. Although, I do make moon water and pay respects to my moon goddess (Hanwi, Sioux for Night Sun) and the Greek goddess Nyx for night. I do evening oblations, depending on the time of year, the sun may be down or still up.
What I can suggest, is try meditating, scrying in a mirror maybe to see if you receive a response. In my practice, finding my solar deity, was a hit and miss. I tried this one or that one for a few weeks and eventually settled on Brigid - I still tried others, but finally came back to this one. It might be that Helios is not the one for you. That is how I found Brigid. I did not care for the name, so I tried other goddess names and they did not work. Brigid did, I tried other names afterwards, and they did not work, came back to Brigid and it did. So, I stay with her. You may need to “try out” a few of them to see which one wants to work with you.
It is not always who WE want but who is willing to WORK WITH US.

Thank you for the insight! My hope is that one will reach out to me in return, but I am terrible with signs and kind of need things slammed in my face in order to notice it.

For a sign to slap you in the face, only you will actually know. Right off, I would notice if you keep seeing or hearing or sensing…some thing constantly. Examples…always noticing certain numbers…finding coins on the ground…seeing a specific species of bird…signs are endless and you will be the only one to notice. Once you notice that something is repeating, then look into it. Find out what is related to it. Maybe that is the god/dess contacting you.
To start…ask for “signs” or guidance from the god/dess who is wishing to reach you. Do it in your practice, if you have “circle” time. If not, say it as a nighttime prayer, or an affirmation throughout the day, ask as you stir your coffee/tea, many ways you are able to invite a god/dess into your sphere. After a few weeks, you should have already started to notice some “ko-inky-dinks” -coincidences, and should be able to start researching your deities.
