I’m so grateful to be in community with you all, and to find such a special place on the internet!
I’m very curious how often folks are casting spells for themselves or doing spell work? For example, I’ve been having issues at work and with a supervisor, and have found myself doing spell work for myself and the situation almost weekly? But I’m beginning to wonder if that’s just too much? It’s not the same spellwork every time, it always has different, distinct intentions and ingredients used.
Sometimes I will do spell work for my husband, and it’s almost always apparent and manifests quickly. But he only asks for this work on occasion, maybe once every 4-5 months?
I’d love to hear about your practice! Thank you so much in advance for your time!
Most of the time I do it for myself. I’d say you don’t need spells for everything, but in your case, it seems you need it, just as long as you also do your part instead of just doing a spell and waiting for it to happen. The spell helps but it isn’t the only part.
But doing spells mostly or entirely for yourself? Not a bad thing I’d say, just also do your part and don’t hurt anyone unnecessarily. I, for one, felt like witchcraft was a way to improve myself and reclaim my authority and control over myself.
Interesting…All spells are for yourself, unless you specifically ask it for someone else-My spell work is actually every morning. I live in “Vegas, Baby, Vegas” so I am more solar inclined. I perform oblations when I wake up. I already have my Moon, Sun, Oblation ready and perform my rite in the morning. It helps start my day…at sundown, I give thanks for the day. I am an early sleeper and riser. Occasionally, in the middle of the night, I will go outside and do my thang.
The bottom line is------wait for it----- do what works for you and what you are called to do,
The Cosmos (God/desses) understand, and know what you are looking for
@DaughterofLilith pretty much summed up what i was gonna say. I do spellwork every day. Sometimes as simple as stirring my intent into my morning coffee. I went through a rough time with fatigue and every morning for awhile i would brew cinnamon in my coffee grounds, and stir clockwise with an impromptu chant to help me though the day. After awhile, i ended up getting sick and it was at a perfect time, where i had a 4 day long weekend. I rested through all of it, and since then my energy level has been great. I guess the universe was like “want energy? Ok. Lemme knock your butt down so you can rest instead of being a corporate machine” lol
