I never knew if Witchcraft was in my family and I still don’t know. I only know that my intuition kept telling me and also the feeling in me to start doing Witchcraft so as a newbie I didn’t know where to start I just started buying kits online ,buying different books that called out to me, solo need more books though. I made me an alter and started doing spells, and rituals. But then it got to where I needed more ingredients like herbs etc. That I found out it doesn’t matter what you use if you don’t have an herb to try out something else that relates. I’m still a newbie want to learn more and more and I will. I do have problems with what spells to perform since my books don’t have certain spells that I look for. I love Astrology, Spirituality.
Merry Meet Witch720,
I come from a long line of what today would be called witches. I never heard the word “witch” used in the family and never considered myself a witch until much later in life - labels, we simply must have a label. Anyway, my point is that none of that matters at all. Whether you can supposedly trace a witch lineage back into antiquity or just picked up a book because it spoke to you, what makes you a witch is who you are as a person, and nothing else matters. You are absolutely correct in following your intuition and heart/feelings. The Art is a big money-making scheme for many retailers, don’t get sucked in with all the hype. As far as spells go, you can get as involved as you think you need to be. I have a thick BOS with nothing but correspondences. Decide what you want, why you want it, who will benefit from it, what harm may come from it, if it involves other people do you have their informed consent, and so on. Then you can decide what correspondences, if any, you wish to apply and why. It is most important that you are a proper person, properly prepared, before spellcasting. Never try to cast a spell or even hold any of your consecrated tools when you are in a negative frame of mind. Be open but not gullible. Brightest Blessings!
