Hi, I’m Luna.
I am a hoodoo and rootwork practitioner walking the liminal edge of the seen and unseen. I do not conjure spirits into my body. I do not need to. Instead, I craft vessels, jars, mirrors, and workings that become spirits of their own: born through intention, fed with energy, and charged to move with purpose.
My practice is ancestral, but cosmic. I work with roots and rust, bones and flame, flowers and religious text, coins and sigils, binding the material to the ether. I speak in signs, move in silence, and listen before I act. Every item I create is alive in its own way, carrying a voice, a will, and a path of its own.
I honor the laws of reciprocity. I pay my spirits in copper and respect. I cleanse with smoke and water, and seal with wax and fire. I protect what’s mine and help others do the same.
Beauty, justice, and clarity guide my hand. Power is quiet. Real work doesn’t need to scream.
If you’ve found me, there’s likely a reason. Nothing I do is random.
And nothing made with my hands is ever hollow.

Hello Luna.
Your passage is familiar to me.
I had a dream last night where I had a dog that I was letting sleep in my truck as I gathered my possessions from a place I was living. When I returned to check-up on my pup he had a blanket covering him. He was sitting in the driver’s seat in the posture of a human attempting to start the vehicle. I told him that he needed to wait for me to finish gathering my things. He proceeded to tell me in a human voice that he didn’t like waiting by himself and that he was feeling restless. Just thought I would share the story to see your incites. I am having visions of talking to animals more frequently. I see them as extensions of my son whom I haven’t seen hardly at all for the past 10 years or so. I hope my message to you is met with you in a positive welcoming way. - Nico
Hello Nico… you seem familiar. A strangely strong presence.
It’s funny how our pets become our family, and in the same turn become those we need the most. Whether present in our lives or appearing through dreams, they present themselves to us as loved ones, spirits, and guardians who depend on us as much as we do them. There are many who have loved something or someone in this way, and that kind of feeling never truly fades if it was profound. I feel your dream reflects something deep you’ve been missing.
I had a dream a few days ago about owning a Golden Albino Squirrel — a beautiful gold-blonde squirrel with pinkish-red eyes. The squirrel was weeping when I approached, and I knelt to its height in worry. I asked what was wrong and extended my hand, which it reluctantly drew close to and eventually climbed into. From that moment on we were inseparable.
However, later in the dream there were flashes of me walking through long halls of a corporate office building. I was walking just a little too fast, causing my squirrel to trail behind each passing corner — always just a gripping second away from me, so close but just missing the chance to catch my eye. When I woke, I longed for that squirrel. I even searched for one, hoping somehow to reunite with what I’d met in that dream. But they are as rare in waking life as they were in sleep — rare and special, just like what your dream symbolizes to you.
I hope you reunite with your son soon, and get to spend quality time with him.
Gracious night,
-Luna
