Help with spells

Hey everyone , does anyone have recommendations on websites or anything legit for spells , I’m starting a “spell book/ journal/ grimoire” and wanna make sure I’m writing down legit spells and not just any random thing . Thanks !

Can’t help too much personally, I don’t do many spells in my Practice.

However, there’s possibly resource links to books in the Book thread: book-discussions

The best suggestion for cataloging spells is by making your own rituals and spells. I only ever found one spell that worked in the beginning of my research. I believe it was called “orb of protection.” Manifest the energies around you into a sphere and release it into the air. It’ll explode and cover you in spiritual armor. Honestly, this sight is probably your best bet for learning spells.

The main part of this site has many resources for beginners, including spells. I don’t use spells very much in my current practice (at least, not in the traditional western sense) but I used to go through various books and youtube channels and find ones that appeal, making tweaks sometimes to suit my preferences. Our book list here in the forum is vast, you should have no problem finding them.

Cheers. :eye:

Superb Saturday bby,

The “legit spells” are the ones that work for you!:magic_wand: Magick is sooo much about intent, not necessarily “turn around 3 times and jump up and down”; so it has to work for you.

A spell may work for Jane but the exact same spell may not work for Judy. You just have to try them out. I find ones that I like and sometimes adapt it for what I need. I use most spells as a guideline since I have my own deities and ways to cast…So, it all depends on individual practice. You will find which ones work for you.

Suggestion…I use a 3-ring binder (the mini-size 8 1/2 by 5 or so) with dividers, that way I am able to add/change/subtract spells, with the dividers I can arrange them. I have an “opening/closing” circle section. Banishing/binding section, Ancestor section…with the binder you are more free to change and re-arrange as it works for you. Since it is a malleable book you need not worry about making any “mistakes.” I did start with a leather-bound BOS, but did not appreciate the “mistakes” and/or changes I wanted to make. With the binder, it is much more adaptable.

I hope this helps you out, baby.:upside_down_face:
