hi my names kyrah, i’m an eclectic witch and I love learning about different religions and traditions. I joined because I wanted to learn more from other witches, i havent really met any where I am.
I currently work with manifestation a lot, and im a disciple of Lady Aphrodite. I do work with other Greek gods as well, but my closest relationship is with Lady Aphrodite.
im actually really bad at introductions, but im interested in new friends/learning new ideas and practices :3
Hello! I’m very interested in the Ancient Greek lore and traditions - actually I venerate Poseidon, Belus , Danaus and Cadmus (but also the Beliades as well as Pythagoras) . Have you ever used the Greek Alphabet oracle to commune with your Lady?
hey thats so cool !! ive always felt a particular closeness with Lord Poseidon, i grew up swimming
i havent used the greek alphabet to commune with her, though i really want too. for me, ive always been good with tarot cards (ik those are modern, not hellenic, it js works for me). i also often communicate through dreams (i pray/write a letter) for advice or a question before i gts, and she normally responds in my dreams throughout the next few days. ive also noticed a specific shiver-y feeling throughout my body when praying, and it sometimes appears when i either read things related to her, do something devotional, and sometimes, its js there. ive kinda learned to take this as a sign of her affection, if that makes sense?
i believe im clairvoyant (not sure tho, workin on that) and i sometimes get really vivid images in my head of offerings for her, often accompanied by thoughts that feel not my own (if that makes sense) directing me. similarly, sometimes i have rlly rlly rlly repetitive thoughts (not intrusive or negative) combined with that shiver-y feeling
lmk if u need me to clarify anything, im kinda bad at explaining sometimes :3
Ah yes, Poseidon! In elder days - he (like many Olympians) always had been bating eyes and catching feels for mortal women, pretty as they are ! Oh he was a dog alright – spawning batches of bastards, lords and hybrids with his rougher counter parts- homo sapiens and the dwellers of the deep!
I suppose we do live in modern times so if tarot works for you – it’s probably superior than the more ancient form of alphabet divination. Definitely trust your instincts … it may be seen that woman’s intuition is a divine ability preserved from the age of the gods. As for dreams - if you are able to have them vividly I think that may be counted as a valid sign which speaks to your clairvoyance - because so many people these days don’t remember them at all! Dreams are the key to all knowledge and divine wisdom, some even say to immortality itself.
Yeah, I know that exact shivery feeling your talking about. .. it’s like kundalini energy when activated – unquestionably (in my experience) another authentic sign of paranormal influence or powers of magick at work.
All of what you have said makes perfect sense – so no worries about that. Such images and thoughts as you describe are very similar to the way that divine spirits have communicated with me, and probably many others here too. It’s most difficult to explain things to people sometimes when there is no reference point or common ground…so maybe if u tried to explain that to a ‘‘muggle’’ they might not get it ?
Also, if the repetitive thoughts are accompanied with that shivery feeling – you should probably just always listen to them . That’s like your soul, speaking to you . Your soul is the messenger inbetween your ego and the Goddess. People who stop listening to their soul lose bigtime : for their soul ‘‘goes to sleep’’ and sometimes may even appear to abandon the vessel…
Anyway.. if you want to develop your clairvoyance (as well as other powers such astral travelling) I highly recommend Robert Monroe’s ‘‘gateway training program’’ which uses a technology called hemi-sync – a sound frequency vibration that causing the two hemispheres of the brain to synchronize. In this synchronized state , we learn really cool and enjoyable meditations but also very practical techniques which will definitely aid in the development of your natural abilities.
If you love learning about different traditions you are in the right place! Haha…
Aphrodite is lovely ~ I’ve never worked with her personally, but it seems like virtually everyone I meet who are her followers are lovely people! I was “claimed” by a different tradition ultimately, but I’ve met Hekate, and I worked briefly with Asclepius once from the guidance of a Hellenic witch. It was a little bit of an unusual situation but I thought he was a wonderful god of surgery!
( And btw none of your shared experiences are unusual - spirits and deities leave interesting impressions on us when they are near. As long as you don’t feel unsafe, you should be fine! I have over 30 years of exposure to them personally. If you have any difficulty, just let us know! )
We are no strangers to this technology here!
We have an entire topic on this subject:
We get into other various meditation techniques later on in that topic. My practice is very meditation-heavy so you’ll see a few of my recommendations there.
