For those who believe in Astral Projection

I know not everyone either believes in, or is “into” astral projection, but I certainly am. I’ve started guided self hypnosis when I go to bed, the results so far have been amazing. I’ve seen quite a change in myself, so has my wife. I haven’t quite reached lucid dreaming yet, which is where I’m trying to go, lucid dreaming/ astral projection…does anyone have any insight, tips, pointers? I’m not one who has ever really remembered my dreams so this has been a little trying for me

Merry Meet Justamrshand,

No, I do not have any pointers. I just have a comment. About 95% of my dreams are nightmares with the occasional night terror. I had a serious accident in 2015 that put me in a coma. The good that came from that accident is that I no longer have dreams, hence, no nightmares. Since my accident (10 years ago); I’ve only had a handful of dreams (however, no nightmares). So, for me that is a good thing. However, I AM interested in astral projection, not so sure about the lucid dreams. (Do I really want to experience my nightmares?!) Keep us informed, I am looking forward to it.

Happy “hunting”—Lady Gene :crystal_ball: :magic_wand:

Merry Meet Justamrshand,

Astral projection and lucid dreaming, as well as guided meditation, can be dangerous if you aren’t careful. As you get better at lucid dreaming you will be able to modify your dreams and change what happens - more of an alternate existence as opposed to just trying to figure out what a dream means. The only advice I’ll offer is to be in a positive state of mind when you attempt anything magickal/extraordinary. If you find yourself in a state of wondering if you are dreaming or awake, try to write your full name. If you are dreaming you can’t do it. Brightest Blessings!

Try celestite or merlinite in your pillow case, theyre both protective, good for astral travel and awareness during your outings and help tether you to your body so its easier to get back safely

A cup of mugwort and lavender tea also helps

What do you mean by dangerous? My sister used to do that and she said it terrified her because she almost couldn’t control it. She felt like she was flying through space and time. She said she was going so fast and just did not know how to control. I don’t know how she stopped it though. I asked her how she did it and she said it just happens and she wasn’t trying to do anything..

Her problem was exactly that, she’s wasn’t trying for anything

Astral as any magic requires focus and intention while yes some trips just happen you gotta keep your gaurd up because there’s many kinds of spirits, entities and people out there

Ive encountered a few that try to steal magic, ive awoken with dirt under my nails, scratches and bruises from what happened in astral

You gotta be careful

I always say, Lucid Dream first, get comfortable there, BEFORE you venture out in the Astral.

My Familiar won’t let me do either right now, LD because it interferes with Her dream-walks,

and AP just because it’s too dangerous without Her, and She says I have nothing to learn out

there that She can’t give me now.

Just like SarahPhinite says. You may notice that I often include the words “a proper person, properly prepared” when talking anything magick. One must study, learn, prepare, before putting into practice. Essentially, astral projection is a separation of soul/psyche and the physical realm. It’s a dangerous place to play. Just like working with Fae, one should be aware of the uncertainties at a minimum.
Brightest Blessings!
