So precious, what is her name?

You will laugh, but there is a history behind the name…. ‘Fuzzy’

There was talk of me renaming her Chatnoir (the ‘t’ is silent) this morning… but I wasn’t allowed to.

Awww. Lol. Lemme guess, Miraculous Ladybug and Chatnoir? Also what’s the story?

No oddly. My wife grew up in Europe from a very early age, speaking French as her second language before learning English. We call Fuzzy ‘neko chan’ a lot, and ‘Chatnoir’ sounded better than calling her ‘black cat’ :joy: Our cat has a lot of names.

Long story short - Fuzzy looks identical to a cat that bore the name Fuzzy, so technically our cat is Fuzzy the 2nd.

Great topic! I will ask my Familiar tomorrow night just how much I can share.

My familiar is a Fae, and as Shaman, my entire connection to the Spirit World.

Red_Fox that is awesome. I love that for ya’ll so much. Sedim_Haba sounds great!

Oooo, Im especailly attached to artic foxes, crows, owls and wolves.

Though Im not sure if I have any as in my most recent post, artic fox is the one that stayed most in my childhood imaginations. If we were to go off most often seen, it would be crows that I see most from a young age till now.

I had a dream about a black panther cub but that was Loki playing a little mischief.

But hey! I love to know more!

Let us know how it goes! It may take a few tries. Like I said in the other one, they may refuse until they’ve determined that you’re “ready.”

:joy: LOL luckily they usually take that into consideration when they choose the best form to present themselves in. Cats are (unsurprisingly) common, yes… but many don’t have them. Mine is a wolf. :wolf:

Cheers. :bell:

You’d think that since I have one, that I’d have some useful advice about getting one.

I don’t. I don’t recommend how I did get mine, the Ego Death that called Her to help me.

I’m having trouble figuring out if I have a familiar, much less an animal guide. You see, I have always been good with animals and was a LVT for years with normal and exotic pets. Volunteered at a bird sanctuary and now pet sit for anything- not kidding, exotic to farm animal. I’m kinda drawn to EVERYTHING and can’t narrow down if fine tune it. Any ideas to help figure it out?

Does a particular of animal/bird appear in dreams or pop up in weird places all of the time? (By weird places I mean you see the same creature when you open a book, a web page, in commercials etc)
If you notice one, then focus on what it is, and it just might be your animal guide.

First of all, Welcome to the forum!

I had to cast the Google spell on LVT, (vet) that’s neat! Myself I had Horse as a Spirit Guide for

about two decades. Might still be there, I’ll see this spring when I start volunteering at an Equine

shelter. I got Horse when to deal with my Autism I became involved in Equine assisted therapy.

Both as a patient and a volunteer. Eventually bought my own tiny Equine ranch (hobby farm)

complete with one very special mare. Got donkeys to keep her company (Herd mentality).

So, I recommend to think back to what got you into animals in the beginning. Perhaps was

one specific animal? Now, a Familiar does not need to be an animal, mine isn’t, but a Familiar

may take the form of one. Mine is not Horse, that was a Spirit Guide. They can be related, and

one can help you find the other, I’m pretty sure my Familiar sent Horse because of my need.

Welcome Gytha!

Oh dear. I can see why that would make things difficult! I could also see where this might affect discerning your dreams difficult too (as I imagine you also have a wide variety of animal dreams.) In your case I suggest getting a reading done by either a tarot reader or a shaman. If there are none near you there are many on Etsy.

That sounds like amazing work, btw! (And I love your user photo. :folded_hands: )

Cheers. :wolf:
