Esoteric Book List

I’m looking to put together a list of books and titles that are generally considered pagan or witchcraft related. I’m trying to rebuild my book library due to some that were stolen or just old and falling apart. My interests are Celtic, general spells and rituals, Druidry, divination, tarot and stones or crystal information and magic uses. Titles that are older are actually important to me so anything from even 20 years ago is fine. Any suggestions are appreciated.

This is my oldest and most valued book. Too bad it’s falling apart. But I have the PDF.

(if you’re interested)

My physical copy is the 1973 Edition/Printing.

And of course no collection is complete without:

Oooh, I love this. I’m working (slowly lmao) on listing and reviewing every witchy/pagan book I’ve read over on my personal website, I can post a link if you’re interested and don’t mind that it’s still very much a work in progress.

As for book recs, I generally like anything written by Arin Murphy-Hiscock (though I don’t agree with everything she says) and Juliet Diaz, though both of their works tend to skew towards being for beginners, intermediate practitioners at the most. My number one favourite witchy book, though, isn’t technically a witchy book at all. It’s Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. Genuinely I’d recommend this book to literally anyone, but I think it’s especially meaningful for those of us who follow a nature-based religion. It’s a beautiful mix of botanical science and Indigenous wisdom, and it really changed how I think about the world at large. I’ll never give up a chance to recommend it ^-^
