Can I see what spells have been casted on me?

(scroll to bottom for my question)

I believe that my best friend may have casted more than one spell on me/that is affecting me… I’ve had my suspicion since I first fell in love with her; It felt against my will. All my life I’ve identified as aroace. I have another friend who is in the same situation as me.

After we told her that we loved her, but didn’t want to, she didn’t hesitate to cast a spell to get rid of our attraction to her. The next morning, I woke up with a spinning headache. My friend started to hate her, and I did, too.

But, it didn’t last long for me, and I’m back to being stuck in her web. I feel like there is something stronger that is overriding the spell she made. I feel like there is a greater spell or something hovering over me, making me unable to forget her or stop thinking of her.

My question is: Is there a way for me to see/become aware of current spells that are casted upon me? If not, could anyone recommend practices or spells to fall out of love without ruining our friendship? Thank you.

Certainly! With a good divination spell or practice - such as tarot, smoke-reading, tea-reading, scrying, etc. you can identify any spells that have been placed upon you. If you don’t know how to divine things yourself, you could hire a reader to do a reading for you from either a simple search, or from a site like Etsy. It’s much better to know exactly what you’re undoing, and who’s the offender, before you try to remove the effects of a spell.

(It makes the undoing spell more effective.)

Thank you greatly :black_heart:

Oof, that’s rough! It’s very possible to identify if someone has cast a spell on you and divine the type of spell as well. If you’d like, and you feel like you can trust a stranger on the internet, I’d be willing to try a divination with you, just DM me and let me know!

As for breaking spells cast on you, a ritual cleansing is my preferred way. I usually take water from a running river, just a small bottle or vial, and pour it over my head while taking a cleansing shower or bath. There are several folk traditions that speak of running water being a barrier for magic, and especially cleansing. If you don’t have access to a river, running water from your tap and some visualization can work just as well. There are other, more specific and targeted ways of undoing magic done on you as WrenTalbot said above, once you have more of an idea of what you’re dealing with.

I’d also do a binding of some kind on your friend so that she stops casting on you, or at least negates her magic if she tries. I’d also STRONGLY suggest looking into beefing up your wards, or starting a heavy warding practice if you don’t have one already. Having a regular warding and cleansing practice can really help you to deflect and remove energies sent your way, even by magical means.
