I’m posting this because I feel that those of us who follow these paths have common
traits. Being somewhere on the Neurotypical Spectrum is a big one. But, so is being
an Empath. Unlike psychic abilities, these are not just inherited, but learned.
Learned in dysfunctional homes we grew up in, and dysfunctional societies that
excused bullies and told us to ‘toughen up’. I leave first this video for you all.
You will identify with some, but perhaps not all of these observations. Know that
when you are both an Empath and on the Spectrum, much of the insight is denied you.
However, even if you cannot fully utilize the Empathic senses you have to their
full potential, the relief in knowing what’s happening to you brings peace.
(sorry for the AI visuals, just minimize and listen)

下午好!
I’m SUSPECTED to be on the spectrum (one day i went to the hospital and the doctor said i MIGHT have AS and suggested me to undergo further examinations…but it can be troublesome if you’re diagnosed with AS here so i just forgot about it
)

What is AS? Google spell isn’t working! How is it better to not know than know?
Will you be stigmatized by society? Who could know, other than the medical professionals?
Is there not medical privacy where you live?
Aspergers Syndrome, most people view it as a disability or at least a defect
it’s surrounded by myths of "geniuses“, like when people talk about it they would think of young, talented but quirky professors or entrepreneurs, but as we all know, most of these images are just stereotypes.
i’m worried that it would cause negative impacts on my future study or career if i get diagnosed
and i would not want to make my family think i’m "ill“ and be sad about that

Yes, I see. But my point stands, who could know other than the doctors? Why tell your family?
you’re right…actually i don’t have to tell anyone, and i hope that it won’t affect anyting important
It’s better for you to know than to just guess.

My AQ (Autism Quotient) score is 41 out of 50. Normies are below 26. The average Autistic is 32.
41 is … severe. Autism-Spectrum Quotient

Just for fun, I took the Quotient test just to see where I’d land… (I know I took it before, just forgot my score.) I scored an 11.
Even so, I can relate to the sense of being misunderstood and rejected by the outside world too. When I was growing up I was constantly feeling ostracized, for going to the “wrong” school, for having the “wrong” kind of family, or for just being seen as the “freak” that people felt the need to study. ( That last one is … ahem … particularly fun.
)
I can empathize with what you’re saying though, I watched most of the video and I can relate to parts of it for sure. And I’m glad you made this topic as it’s not one you see discussed in the community often.
Cheers.
