It’s called The Winter of the Witch” and based on “Old Black Witch” I’m watching it now on Youtube. I am obsessed with this. It was shown in schools in the 70’s- and even in the 90’s as posted- in normal, suburban schools Why? I appreciate your input- I’m trying to get back, find my path, but feel oppressed, not to mention all the other self insecurities, based on forgetting, allowing, self doubt, I think you mentioned you were raised into your beliefs. I find this so extremely strange. I was not. However, my family has history, however never ever allowing my “out of the broom closet” my new favorite, learned term btw. I am so grateful for you listening to my rants, and your patience, and responding.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina takes the cake for me! I rewatched it a thousand times and it never gets old!
I’ve watched so many of these shows that it’s hard to name them all.
But a lot of what I gravitate toward are supernatural series, blended with witches. Here are some of my favorites.
- A Discovery of Witches: I like the show. The pacing doesn’t feel rushed.
- Luna Nera: This one is all about witches. The acting is so so, but the storyline feels refreshing.
- Legacies: Also heavily focused on witches. It’s a spin off of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, so there are a lot of different supernatural creatures involved.
- The Witcher: I enjoy it mainly for the supernatural elements and the larger conflicts in that world. The witch war doesn’t really show up until later, but two of the main characters are witches, and there are plenty of other witches throughout the series.
- Charmed (1998): I like the original one for the vibe of attractive witches fighting evil. I haven’t seen the new Charmed series yet because it doesn’t look interesting at all.
- Fate: The Winx Saga: It’s basically centered on elemental magick. It feels like a fresh take on witches and faes.
Love the movie - practical msgic!!
Magickal Monday Kute,
Thank-you, I was gonna say Bewitched, but was afraid of dating myself.

I know this is weird, but my Familiar is having me watch Harry Potter series again.
As a form of therapy. See, I’ve not watched a movie or TV show in over a year. Just can’t
generate enough interest. Start watching anything, quit in minutes. So, she says watch it.
OK, it’s been years. So, what character do you all identify with most strongly? If any?
Only watched Sorcerer’s Stone so far, but I find I really really identify with Hagrid of all things.
( But I physically resemble Dumbledore lol ) His bumbling good nature, and his intense loyalty.
That’s a long time!
Harry Potter is wonderful. Total nostalgia.
Personality-wise I’m somewhere between Hermione and Luna Lovegood (Luna’s possibly my 2nd favorite character, I love her so much). But from dawn till dusk, my favorite character will forever be Snape.
Cheers. ![]()
Indeed, I forget what book Luna shows up, but she doesn’t get nearly enough time!
