I earned all the rankings before I even made my second post on that other account because I read a lot, and I still got flagged. It baffles me too. The AI moderation settings need to be adjusted by a tech guy, since this forum is based on Discourse AI.

I’m even more confused now! lol. I think this forum is just run by the owner of the main site, so not sure how likely that’s going to happen…
Well, we’ve seen far more normal new members get AI banned than we’ve seen real bans.
Settings on the AI moderator must be SOMEWHERE in the forum setup?
AI Mod is almost causing more problems than it solves! (just kidding AI guy)

I think I’ve fixed it? There are some default setting in Discourse - I don’t think it’s AI, I think it’s just automoderation based on settings like “if you post too fast after signing up, x happens.” When I set up this forum a couple years ago, I had set it at high but I just adjusted it to low, so hopefully this happens less.

Now that the new user sensitivity has been turned down, though, I would ask that you all please do flag someone or something if it is troublesome (illegal, harmful, bullying, just generally mean, actual spam) as I want to keep this a kind, safe, respectful space where we can all learn from one another.
And, if it keeps happening, send me a message. I’ve been trying to clear the flags within a day, but I know it’s annoying to wait.

Thank you Rebecca! Not a problem, I’m happy to be of service. We’ll keep an eye out for anything suspicious for sure. There’s always someone active here just about daily (usually Sedim and I). I will say you’ve created the most accepting and peaceful forum I’ve seen on the internet, no exaggeration! We definitely want to keep it that way.

Thank you so much. This was such a lovely place till the automod messed me up. I admit I’m a fairly fast typist with training for dictation I tend to do stuff speedy Gonzalez style! lol Thank you again.
Also, I keep seeing the Intro notification popping up as if I didn’t do so already. What’s that about and do I need to re do the introduction?? Thanks.
