Servitor or Tulpa?

Hi, Everyone!

I was reading on another site about something called a Servitor. It’s described as a magical helper that one can bring into existence through conscious intention.

The description reminds me very much of something I read about some years ago in a book called Magic and Mystery in Tibet by one Alexandra David-Néel. According to the book, the author traveled through Tibet disguised as a man and learned about Tibetan magical practices from the people she met.

One of the things she wrote about was an entity called a Tulpa. The method she described for creating one sounds a lot like that for generating a Servitor. Ms. David-Néel described her experience creating a Tulpa to be her servant. As I recall, she initially had to do a lot of hard mental work with her imagination before she felt the Tulpa’s presence. All went well at first, but as time went on, the presence of the Tulpa became more solid, until she could hear it following her about, and eventually could catch glimpses of it. The trouble began when the Tulpa, having become physically apparent, could no longer be controlled and became threatening towards her. Eventually, after much mental effort, she was at last able to dissolve it, but her experience was such that she strongly recommended against trying to create one.

My question has to do with whether this problem is also likely to occur with the creation of a Servitor? I would especially like to hear from anyone who has direct experience with this subject, but also from anyone who has heard about another’s experience.

Blessings to all!

That’s a good question!

That kind of magick is very advanced and always poses risk to the conjuror without done with extreme care. That story describes one potential consequence of creating one without performing enough self-preparation and self-work beforehand.

They are both essentially the same kind of being, just different names and slightly different lore to reflect their different cultures. They are thought-forms that are created for the purpose of serving their creators. If the sound of the risks are turning you off at all, then absolutely do not try it. It’s important to trust your intuition no matter what your ego may want!

Hope that helps. Cheers!

Thank you, WrenTalbot!

That’s the sort of answer I was looking for. One summer when I was about 11 years old, a younger cousin and I thought it would be fun to go ghost hunting in our grandparents attic. Not finding any ghosts, we decided to imagine one into being. (I don’t know how we got the idea to try that…we just did.) Anyway, we ended up getting the daylights scared out of us and vowed never to go ghost hunting again. So, for sure I’m not about to try creating any thought-forms. Not after my childhood experience. Or at least not until I have a much better grip on what I’m doing, if even then!

Thanks again for the explanation, and have a great rest of your week.

OMG I can’t believe you did that!! :joy:

Good, I’m glad to hear that it was what you were looking for! They certainly are fascinating reading though! Group-based thought forms always particularly fascinated me to read about.

Cheers! You as well. :slightly_smiling_face:

There are differences On The Spiritual level in between these two thought form that you have mentioned here

It is not a cup of tea for a beginner witch

It needs Spiritual maturity spiritual connection with Divine entities like God and angels and saints Etc And You need to be on that level powerful To interact with all our invisibles

And then start the chapter if you marks the eligibility and you want to deal with these entities… knowledge and guidance from your God in this process

You have toYou have to control everything and definitely you should be spiritually very much advance and spiritually mature soul
