Firstly, I’m interested in potentially doing some virtual divination here, and I want to make sure that’s okay with yall. I used to do virtual divination on tumblr when i was big in the witchblr scene, but I know some people and online spaces frown on offering and receiving divination from essentially strangers online lmao. Any input on what’s preferred/allowed here would be great ^-^
Related but different, I do a lot of divination that doesn’t involve tarot specifically. I use oracle decks pretty regularly, as well as charm divination and pendulum. Should all divination discussion, no matter what method is used, go in the tarot category, or should I be putting it in witchcraft? Somewhere else?
I think it really depends. Not everyone may be comfortable with having their readings be posted publicly. But if you want to be technical, as long as you’re not soliciting or expecting people to pay for your readings here, it wouldn’t be breaking the rules. We’ve actually had the occasional person post topics for doing a few general readings for other members.
Since Tarot is meant to be it’s own category here, I’d place non-tarot divination under Witchcraft - and then add the appropriate tags like Divination, Pendulums, etc. to make the topic more searchable.
ahh thanks! that’s very helpful. i absolutely wasn’t about to charge ppl for my amateur readings lol, it’s just a way for me to practice divination as much as it is answering ppls questions ^-^
