I didnāt so much get into witchcraft as grow up next to it without anyone calling it that. Germanic and Nordic folk practice, mostly land spirits, ancestors, herbs, working with the seasons. My grandmother did small things around the house and land that nobody ever named āmagic,ā it was just how things were done.
If I have to pick a ātype,ā Iād say folk witch, though I hold that loosely, never fit neatly into Wiccan structure and stopped trying a while ago.
What I know best and like sharing: herb work, land spirit and ancestor practice, knot magic. Less book-learned, more hands and habit.
Favorite point in the year is Midsummer, something about the long light makes the old practices feel like they make the most sense.
Looking forward to share ideas and learn from others.
Hello Iām Alysha. I have natural abilities in tarot and basically any kind of divination. But the biggest reason I joined has to do with my dreams that come true exactly as I dreamed them. I wouldnāt say that the dreams are āpropheticā just because they are so hard to change the outcome of the situations they are about. It takes A LOT of force and will to change them. About a year and a half ago I had one come true that I know for a fact I dreamed back in 2008 or 2009. Iām going to find the place to ask about this sort of thing and write more there.
Hello there, Iāve been getting into the craft mostly because of the moon, Iāve talked with the moon for my whole life and it somehow led me to connection with the nature around me and the craft really helped me to cherish this connection more. I think all the beauty I saw made me want to give something back.
Greetings everyone! i sure picked a wild ride this life! it feels great to finally start waking up. i would love to share my journey/about me! maybe some of you have had similar experiences, it would be great to meet more brothers and sisters! adhd is bouncing so hereās the dump! growing up im sure i had the same experience as a lot of people here, was forced to go to church growing up. as a teen i had to go but i wouldnt go in, then one day a traumatic event happened and since then the family left me alone on the subject. was agnostic for years after, graduated school and left for the navy not believing. then one day on deployment i decided to climb over the rails of the aircraft carrier. the only word and thing that came to my mind as my body involuntarily moved back over the rails was āMommaā fast forward years later im out and shortly after getting back home i met someone, married and had a kiddo. during marriage i had 2 memorable spiritual moments that i didnt understand (at the time still agnostic) an old friend visited a dream and a sleep paralysis experience. nooowww im starting to think something is up. fast forward a year-ish im now divorced and back with parents. one day on my way home on the highway i dont know why but i started talking to my passed grandfather, the rainy clouds parted like the simpsons intro and i instantly had an awakening. my now ex wife also started waking up. we had a divination session and my whole ancestor line up was there greeting me. couple years of small practicing im now here. im a lot of energy so im told which ive just started understanding is for my dream to become a reiki master and massage therapist. (again adhd) my Matron is The Morrigan, which makes total sense after all these years of my passion for a lot of things. being a veteran and an april ares. i guess i would be considered eclectic. i mainly use celtic and norse practices but i respect and try to understand the cultures behind the others. Poseidon helped āMomma Morriganā with my little event on the ship so i keep a few things for him on the altar. i would love to meet others to learn and to teach if i can <3
Welcome to the forum. I am relatively new here but have been warmly received as you will be, too. We come from all sorts of traditions and share our knowledge as asked and needed. May you find what you seek.
On my own right now, havenāt found many people around here. Thereās a few that I have been told about that are also children of The Morrigan so Iām on the hunt to find a coven As for āMatronā I heard someone call the Male energies patron and female Matron. Iām still a baby in my practice so correct me if I get something off
