Intro (on the Black Moon)

Merry Meet: long-time digitalist (punchcards!) celestial Green Witch practitioner here, Goddess-oriented, Slavic focused (I’m 1st gen Ukrainian N. American), mostly solitary. I started a coven in college in the ‘80s, that broke up as we all moved on with the winds. I then studied with a Celtic-y druid group, then I re-started another coven on wom’s land 2 decades ago in the SW, but the land was eventually sold and we all moved on too. I attended some fests and summits by national Goddess groups; last few years I’m mostly at the free online summits by the Witch of Lupine Hollow (free replays thru this holy weekend!). I moved back to my midwest ‘home town’ and discovered an organized pan-pagan group here has been going strong for decades, which I’ve plugged into, on occasion, though not much lately. I’m a Mistress Gardener and simples herbologist (my fav book for a long time was the out-of-print “Witches Heal: Lesbian Herbal Self-Sufficiency, 2nd Ed” by Billie Potts) but now creating a proper (vs. ad hoc) home apothecary, maybe an herbal biz, and more tea blending and growing my own lately. I also worked for the USGS w/a geosci minor, so have an interest in rocks, crystals, and envirogeo. I also have read tarot for 4 decades; I’ve been studying astrology more intermittently for 2-3 (aqueer sun, leo moon, gem rising). I’m an upcycling activist artist of various media…needlework, paper, mixed media, photog, video, writing. I’ve been doing eldercare work with my parents, mostly my dad, who’s 90, for over a decade.

Welcome!

So glad to have your exploratory, adventurous creative, energy aboard. A “proper home apothecary” just conjures visions in my head of neatly arranged amber bottles with…I digress, it sounds like a perfect goal and I’m glad to be along for your journey. ~A

PS can I pick your brain about court cards after you get settled in?
