Hello all - well met! My name is Bebe. I am a solitary eclectic witch in NE Texas - right smack in the Bible Belt so it is not wise to be open with my spirituality. I chanced on this forum and am very excited about it. I didn’t recognize I was a pagan witch until much later in life. I grew up in a conservative evangelical family and had no idea what paganism or witchcraft or magic really was - but I worked magic all the time. I understood if I focused my mind, what I needed would happen but it wasn’t until grad school I identified what was happening. I also realized both of my grandmothers were evangelical witches. They could both manifest and direct energy and the family knew. It was understood as Christian-based and a “sign” from God. I could never cross that bridge into evangelicalism though - I avoided it like poison from my earliest childhood and was considered a disappointment by my family of origin (not my dad, though). Didn’t matter - I just couldn’t do it - it was dishonest and destructive. I still think that - LOL! Anyway , the point of all the disclosure (sorry if TMI) is that I just have limited experience and understanding. I am looking for a spiritual family - a tribe if you will. Will I find it here? Don’t know - but when I chanced on this forum I was gobsmacked. I follow my intuition. So Merry Meet & Bright Blessings to all!

I understand my husband and I both come from long line of witches that no one identified as witches. My first indication that something was different with my family was when I told my aunt and uncle ( he was my great uncle on my mom’s side and she was my dad’s sister) that I could see spirits and they were like “and”. My aunt thought everyone saw spirits.

My husband’s mom has always talked to her mom, who died while she was pregnant with my hubby. She thought that was normal.

I have cousins that have always seen angels and demons.

This is just normal for our family.
