Greetings. I’m new, obviously since posting here. I just turned 41 on the 22nd of Aug (I’m at the tail end of Leo) and I’ve been a practicing Witch for 31+ years. I believe I was born a Witch and Psychic Medium and have utilized my time over the years to study, learn and practice, practice, practice my Craft to be able to harness, strengthen and control my gifts to utilize them in the ways that open before me.
I’m a long, long devoted disciple of the Goddess Hecate (yes modern day Witches often spell it Hekate-I don’t really care either way linguistically). Hecate has been my Mother, my Guide, my Teacher, my compass in the crossroads and I’ve dedicated my practice, my world, my everything to her. I heard her call early on and answered without hesitation, honoring her and learning, feeling, seeing, experiencing more than I ever imagined.
I’m also a professional Psychic Medium, Spiritual Counselor-Advisor and Ordained Minister who offers private client Readings, coaching and workings.
I’m a content creator and nano-influencer, blogger, author, tech enthusiast, Google fanatic expressed through Google Local Guide and Level 8 Reviewer, Google Developer/Cloud Innovator, Google TV advisor, Google Discovery contributor, Google Gemini TRUSTED TESTER, Pixel Superfan and a Google Certified Devices Expert. I love working with Google and have been lucky to partner with them a few times on NDA protected projects.
I’ve partnered with others like Sony, LG, Roku, Skullcandy, PlayStation, and an AWS Alexa skill Developer and also have collaborated across market categories into working with Azzaro, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Shark/Ninja, Meta Quest and retailers like Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart.
I love making content of all types but enjoy putting my own unique personality and point of view in the project, wrapping it up with the hopeful ability to entertain or make someone smile in their day, while learning and utilizing the latest innovation in video resolution with personally mastered sound set to the highest standards I’m financially and technically capable.
Let’s see, what else. Last year my husband and I lost our home after Hurricane Helene & Milton flooded our townhome, leaving us in an extended stay at a bad hotel with my poor kitty not knowing what was going on-all taking place over the Thanksgiving holiday. Returned to unfinished work with no walls downstairs, electrical wiring hanging from the drywall, basically forced to live out of our 2nd story bedroom and my adjacent office upstairs while they all but stopped working.
We were in a rental situation and were told the owner was gonna sell after repairs so we needed to leave and also that they wouldn’t adjust our rent to make up for the conditions and lack of usability. (We already were paying out of pocket for a storage container that housed the whole first floor so that the workers could have the room requested to work). We had 9 days to find a place and move in and this was over the Christmas/New Years limitations of office hours and availability but thanks to my knowledge of the area, Google maps and my unwavering confidence in cause for resolution I found us an apartment less than 2 miles from our previous community with competitive rent, plenty of amenities, a workable floorplan with operating fireplace in the living room and while we’re not nearly as happy here and my heart still aches for our “home" just miles above us, I’ve kept my eye on the market and I’m hoping to purchase if I can get the right offer entertained.
Unfortunately, I live in Clearwater just off the border of St Petersburg, Safety Harbor and Tampa, my current neighborhood overlooking Tampa Bay and neighboring St Pete/Clearwater international airport. This is the tri-city area of Pinellas county that suffers from inflated unaffordable housing in many cases and sadly unless you’re willing to get your hands dirty and do some digging around, you’ll never find the few - but existing - gems in the mix that offer the right amount of give and take in their opportunities.
So, my hubby and I are searching for an FHA approved (first time home buyer program) community to sink our heels in and call truly home. Only problem is finding someone patient enough to consider the stigma based FHA Nationwide standards and procedures that can pitch a fastball offer over a trailing multiple week adventure in approval. Most want the quicker sell, not to mention in the state of FL condos require a usual 40% down payment vs 20% standard housing or-if FHA backed only a min of 3.5% down payment) so I can understand the hesitation from someone selling their home who may be relying on that larger chunk. Sadly we’re both typical Americans our age without a ton of savings, average credit but thanks to the disaster that struck statewide we were set back nearly $20k we’re still recovering from.
What else, well on a more upbeat note, my cat is happy to have a stable roof over her head. Lilly is an adorable black cat I adopted after she was born from the SPCA. She’s 13 years young, healthy and ornery as ever. Opinionated, vocal, demands attention -typical Leo kitty. She gets it from me.
In my spare time I write. I’m working on a second special edition reprint of my first novel published nearly 15 years ago, a personal memoir, a spiritual companion book to a course I’m developing and I’m authoring a guidebook for modern men in finding self-empowerment, success and self-actualization.
I like to paint. I do oil or acrylic on stretched canvas. Coloring. Journaling. Anything to keep me busy or creative juices flowing. Love to cook and bake. I’m into gaming, mostly PS4/PS5 or Meta Quest other than Android based games.
Despite setbacks I’m a master of managing money, savvy shopping and utilizing earning opportunities where they appear. As a consumer advocate I review products, services, brands, and just about anything, offering my own blog for reviews that are honest, straightforward, fully researched and offering recommendations on the chance it passes my standards for spreading the news. I offer tips, advice and show how others can save on any shopping trip and even make money on most, navigate the gig economy with confidence from my own experience in trial and error explaining my insight with legitimate facts and figures behind the businesses making the claims, the advertising you can’t afford and the opportunity available you can’t afford not to accept.
Overall, I try to keep a balance in being such an active worker (all from my home office) and enjoying my personal time with my own thoughts alongside family time with the hubby who works a typical M-F 8-5 and isn’t used to living with self-employed people. It’s hard to keep regular hours at times, especially as a writer. You never know when an idea will hit.
Even now, it’s 130am and I’m writing this overly detailed introduction on this forum. All while the hubby snores away in the bedroom and my cat is purring her warning embrace asleep on my leg as I’m swyping this out on my Gboard of my BRAND NEW GOOGLE PIXEL 10 PRO XL which I just received today! All while the muted big screen in the living room gives me enough to stand watch as I often find myself doing in the middle of the night.
Habit from my grandmother.
Anyway, I’m going to this long introduction here and say thank you to anyone who actually reads it. You won’t hurt my feelings if not. Lol. Anyway, I’m hoping to find some interesting give and take conversation from this community, offer my experience and read and learn from all of yours as well.
For now, goodnight.
Hail Hecate.
Jonathan Black.
