Greetings to one and all and blessings three fold.

I have written my own opening and closing Altar ritual, I would like to know what others think. Is it too much, not enough???

OPENING ALTAR RITUAL

Goddess and God

Mother and Father Witc h

Protectors of our sacred rea lm

I call upon you for your prese nce

I respectfully summon Archangels Uriel of the North, Raphael of the West, Michael of the South and Gabriel of the West

Before the Elements of Fire, Air, Water and Earth with the spirits of the Sun and the Moon and the Spirits that have walked before me and now walk with me from the Other world

I am present, I am ready

I am centred and g rounded

I open this Sacred Space before and a round me

I call forth blessings and light

May my works be guided by your wisdom and truth

I banish all negative energy and

only allow positive energy to enter this Sacr ed Space

I give grateful thanks for the guidanc e I have received

My works are complete and I set them free with gratitude and as I leave, I offer the smoke from candle and incense as an offering to t he powers that b e.

Iā€™m obliged to suggest that you add a line for your ancestors. Otherwise, sounds pretty good. Very traditional ceremonial style. Nice.

Edit: I guess your ā€œspirits who have walked before meā€ line kind of does address them though, sorry.
