Hi, I’m not totally new to witchcraft, since I’ve been dabbling here and there for many years. However, I do need a community and some structure, as I feel I’m still just scratching the surface. I would love to join you all and learn how to commit to the craft. I have an affinity to water, and in fact have several fish tanks to keep me close to it.
I’m drawn to the Norse pantheon, and would like to make more headway with this.
I’d like to learn more how to incorporate my practice into daily life, use spellwork to help me break old habits that are detrimental to me, and basically use it to improve my life. I have trouble with meditation (thanks, ADHD), but I’ve been learning to spin wool and weave to create a meditative space. Looking forward to getting to know all of you.
Your practices sounds similar to mine. I’ve dabbled with numerous paths (green, pagan, kitchen, wicca) for many years and have finally accepted that “eclectic” suits me best. I, too, am finally determined to move beyond the scratching stage.
Water and the Norse affinities sound very compatible. I think you’ll find a number of folks here who also lean that way.
As for structure, I heartily recommend taking a look at some of the books recommended here as they may guide you toward that goal. Although if you’re a weaver and fabric artist, you’ve already developed a certain structure in your life that you might consider adapting to your magickal practice.
That was too long-winded for an intro post. Anyway, merry meet. Ask questions, share stories and become part of our community!
