Merry Meetings everyone! As the title states, I am new to the site and new to witchcraft. I’m so glad to have found this forum so that I can continue to learn more. Most of what I know is basic things (white candle for protection, green candle for money, spiritual baths and etc.) However, I have encountered a neighbor who may using her dog and its excrements as a way to retaliate against me and I am not sure how to protect myself or what exactly it is that she’s doing. I’m open to any information or suggestions you all have.
Wtf, that’s a new one! Is she just letting her dog poop in your yard or is it worse than that? I feel like I need a little more context lol.
Also black is a more appropriate candle color for protection, in my opinion. Though if you can’t get the more unusual candle colors white works for everything.
Lol greetings! I’m gonna try to sum up all the craziness I’ve been dealing with. so, for some brief background, I have a new neighbor who has been encroaching on my space/property, and she has a rather large dog that she uses to intimidate me and my guests, as well as my tiny dog.
She became upset when I filed a report about the dog’s aggressive behavior…. A few days after that, my dog became critically ill with sudden organ failure per the vet (he’s made a complete recovery somehow. weird, right?). What I noticed for some time was that she has been compiling poop bags on her porch, and I have yet to see her take them to the trash can. I actually witnessed her putting a poop bag outside on her way out of the house. She never has a poop bag when she comes back from her dog walks.
She has a million cameras up, so she tries to walk her dog when she sees I’m leaving the house, or walking my dog. I set up my own cameras and noticed that she always walks past my door every time she walks her dog. She never deviates from that path, but if she’s going to her car or something, she walks a different way. One day, my camera picked up that she walked weirdly close to my front porch about 5 times in one hour. That‘s a lot of quick dog walks, right?
I got a free reading, and without giving any context, the reader told me that my neighbor is leaving something in her front or backyard. The first thing that came to mind was the poop bags. They also mentioned the watching aka the cameras. I know this all sounds crazy, but it’s a 100% real. I paid the reader to do a protection on a doormat with sigils and etc., Coincidentally, the neighbor let her dog get close enough to start sniffing and stepping on the mat.
Thank you for the suggestion. I’m gonna get a black candle this weekend. What are your thoughts about a return to sender candle? I was advised against it because apparently, it could cause more problems. Not sure how true that is though..
That story about your dog is very suspicious. It could’ve been a minor hex. It could’ve been a reaction to the sudden stress from the aggressive dog. I’ve seen that happen to animals. Interesting.
It’s good you’re getting her behavior on camera! I’d save a copy of the footage just in case. In my opinion what you’re describing doesn’t sound like totally hard evidence that she’s doing hex-work against you. Aside from your dog, have you noticed anything else unusual happening in your life since reporting her? Unusually bad luck, sudden bouts of illness that’s resistant to treatment, etc?
I have to agree to hold off on the return to sender spell - that type of spell is more advanced and it can backfire badly if not approached with extreme care. It can be considered grey magic, so it comes with karmic risk. She could learn of it too, which could trigger a truly nasty situation.
Black is your best friend for all things protection & defense - black candles, black salt, black stones, black fabric, black clothing, etc.
Its good that you’re seeking outside help, but absolutely keep reading and educating yourself. Defensive magic can become incredibly advanced. Instead I’d focus on learning the basics first. When I started with my journey into the craft, I read A Witches Bible by Janet & Stewart Farrar. It’s old, some of it could be seen as outdated, but its very powerful and has no fluff whatsoever if you want to get serious and learn the basics quickly.
Thank you for the suggestion! Well her energy was a bit off. Every bit of her behavior was off. Lots of nasty looks despite not engaging with her to avoid exacerbating whatever the issue may be. I lit a return to sender. My ear started ringing. I got a little lightheaded had to leave work. The reading I got said that my dog absorbed whatever was meant for me.

I read your posts and I am not sure what you should do. Yes, I agree that a hexing spell may not be the answer. I practice only “white” magic, so instead of hexing and cursing, I will use banishingment/binding/or protection for me spells. I use a knot spell when I wish to see immediate results. (I have used 3 knot spells this year, and have seen results start as soon as the next day.) Just to make it easy….here is an example…of course, change the wording how you see fit, for your practice and comfort. Knot spell. I use my rope and make 3 knots. I tie the first one in the middle saying….with knot one, this spell is begun….then knot one end….with knot two, this spell is true….knot the other end…with spot three, so mote it be. Then sleep on it for 3 nights…literally. Put it under your pillow, wrap up on your head…my favorite and easy, I place it between the mattress and springs. After 3 nights “un-spell” it. Untie the first knot….with knot one, it is done….with knot two, this is true….with knot three, so mote it be…. As I said, feel free to use the wording of the spell as you see fit. I am a poetry writer, so I love the rhyme. So far this year, it has worked EVERY time for me. I hope this helps you out.
I’m glad that it sounds like you’re ok. I got worried when you said you’d lit the candle. Definitely try Lady Gene’s spell - I completely forgot about knot-work!
Also try practicing building a shield. As you’re getting ready for your day, before you leave the house, you can build an energetic shield around yourself, to repel any negative forces acting against you. Here’s how you do it:
Stand in a spot with nothing closer than arms-length, close your eyes, breathe deeply and slowly for a few minutes until you feel your mind totally relax.
Hold your arm out with two fingers pointing forward, keeping your eyes closed.
Envision drawing a golden shield of light around you, with the light emerging from your fingers as you turn in a complete circle, forming a sphere that extends both above you and into the ground below, as you turn slowly on the spot.
Once you get back to the starting position, envision the sphere sealing and focus on the complete image in your mind for a moment.
Open your eyes and pay attention to whether you feel any difference. With practice, this feeling will get stronger.
Go about your day knowing that you have an extra layer of protection!
Another good spell because it requires no tools at all.
