Me as a jewelry smithing hobbyist?

I learned jewelry smithing as a hobby last summer and it’s fun and (relatively) easy, though i’m still a beginner (i can’t practice it at school:sob:), i (and my instructor) found out that i’m better at handling metals than doing the design, wax sculpting is important but it’s just not my forte XD

i learned a bit about properties and processing of metals in class, but it feels different when you heat, hammer, chisel and polish them in person:pleading_face:.

The things i made are still not that good looking but i like the making process. Below are the first two pieces of jewelry i have made.

They are wonderful! I know nothing about jewelry smithing, what are they made from?

(BTW There is nothing you can say to keep me from picturing a tiny anvil and blacksmiths hammer to make them)

I make things from S925 silver, an alloy of silver and copper, it’s easier to shape and harder than pure silver.

i learned 2 methods to make jewelry, the first one is by casting (though i mail my wax model to factories to do that, it’s much harder than casting a spell lol), and the second one is by forging.

I do use tiny hammers and an anvil to make these:joy:

What do you use to melt that? I’ve cast lead soldiers with an antique mold and that with it’s

lower melting point isn’t a joke. I have a full set of jewelers tools, but mostly repaired jewelry.
