Hello my name is Rena. I’m from the Batesville, AR area. It’s been awhile since I’ve really engaged or practiced any magical energy. I used to be part of a small coven. We used to mostly read and study, but I moved and haven’t really been able to locate any witchy friends in my area. I was wondering if there was anyone else in my area or surrounding area who would like to meet. Maybe to study or practice. Or even charge alter items. Goddess knows i could use some charging. Hello Jypsy, I know what you mean. I have lived in my area most of my life, but moved all over. When I did, I worked so much I didn’t have time and belonged to a coven back in the 80-90s. It was not a good coven either, all we did was do the circle dance, then they would party. Get too drunk and swap partners. I left. Finally it disbanded because of that very thing, which happens usually in a open relationship back then. Most of my friends moved West to pagan communities in the USA. I have no clue to if they are there now. In my community most people claim to be baptist and I do not hide my pagan beliefs. I am avoided for that reason. I don’t talk about it, but you can come to my house and yard and see. I have a stone circle I dedicated to stonehenge and a circle to represent each element. I have a huge quartz circle that I do saluations, invocations and evocations. Someone comes to it and take small things out of it and replace it with something I like. They are quiet here, because of gossip and consequences. I have lost jobs in my small town because of it. Oh well. I keep forgetting to put pictures on here, ,but I will eventually. I am 62 now, been practicing off and on, since I was 13. One thing is for sure…ask the Goddess to bring someone to you, so practice together and she will or They will. I am sure of it. Far as energies, there are many way to recharge yourself, by yourself. I use Music, medication, yoga, incense, baths and even my favorite anime recharges me. I found that watching a show about witchcraft makes be feel powerful. Weird right? LIstening to my favorite group and singer, Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicjs and I feel like I could go toe to toe with the Scarlet Witch. I do wonder if Witch.vox is still around. I used to use that to find friends, but sadly they were usually miles. So I decided that My Lord and Lady wanted me all to themselves. Good Luck.

There are so many kindred spirits out there it seems like we would find it easier to connect in the real world. I empathize with Rena and the others. I left my coven to attend to family matters. I don’t regret my decision but still miss them very much. I now live in rural central Kentucky and stand a much better chance of finding bigfoot than likeminded people. I digress. I’m sorry to say that Witchvox is no longer around. Such a great networking site for covens and solitairies. I love your idea of a stone circle to represent each element and teh quartz circle sounds amazing. I do hope you upload pictures and while we may be miles apart, perhaps we can revive some of that Witchvox magic right here!
Marcus, I’m not sure if you meant it to, but your Bigfoot comment made me chuckle. What a selfless decision you made and perhaps circling here will help all of us.
I was sad to see Witchvox transition, and even though they do (or did) have a Facebook page, “Witch’s Voice” I rarely get on FB and have not followed it. As to my creature comment, I’m glad you appreciated it. While I strive to never be sarcastic, I confess I do have a tendency to toe the line sometimes. You are always safe thinking I mean something like that in a tongue-in-cheek manner. Blessed be!

I was doing my periodic search for likeminded people nearby and I’m not really sure how I ended up here. Perhaps the universe was aligned just right. I’m feeling good about it.
