I have heard of people’s deceased loved ones appearing as spirit guides, and recently I had done a specific tarot reading on my spirit guide. I drew the card The Emperor in representation of the spirit guide, which I always perceived as paternal figures. I immediately thought of my dad. I drew another card, asking the spirit what they thought of my path so far, and I drew the Fool. Now I know the intended meaning for that card, but it really made me believe it was my dad even more. He used to teasingly call me a fool when I’d have silly ideas/get in trouble at school. I could just be deep in grief, but it is a comfort to believe.
I then had a dream where my dad encouraged me to get another tattoo. So I did. My mom hates it, but I imagine she’ll get over it.
