I’m curious about sigils

I am still a baby witch but I just wanted opinions. Sigils are made with intent and meaning but how exactly do you activate them? I usually try to make a partition but im not really even sure how to make a petition honestly. I just wanted opinions on ways to incorporate sigils into my life and spells.

You activete them by drawing then on what you want to use them on.
I have one in my coven’s old book of shadows, for example.

I don’t know that much about them, in the way they’re used now in Chaos Magic.

Back in the day, they were mostly for Amulets & Talismans, out of such books.

Super Saturday FoxGlove,

I am new to sigils, so I use what I call a Witches Sigil Wheel. When I decide the ONE word for the sigil…I use the wheel to “draw” the sigil.
As for consecration/activation….I am a firm believer in the spoken word. However, when I need to use more than the voice, I use the sun. (I live in Vegas, and am a Solar Witch). I lay outside on my altar what I need consecrated…bless it, and ask the Goddess Brigid (my sun/fire goddess) to soak her sensational sunbeams into….my object, and then I leave it to soak up the atmosphere/rays/energy for at least an hour.

That is all I can offer. I know that some people actually make their sigils out of clay so that they are similar to Rune Stones.

Okay, enough yapping, I hope I was of some help.

The Lesser Key of Solomon may interest you, for reference purposes. The sigils I use are derived from Chaos Magick. I’m sure there are many online sources. I encourage you to develop your own unique sigils that are imbued with your own energy. Brightest Blessings!
